EMERGENCY Hospital

EMERGENCY opened the Surgical Centre for War Victims in Lashkar-Gah in 2004.
The hospital is the only free specialist trauma facility in Helmand province.
Helmand Province has been one of Afghanistan’s most volatile regions over the previous two decades of fighting, with large numbers of casualties.
In order to provide immediate assistance to those in need, EMERGENCY established First Aid Posts (FAPs)in the remote districts neighbouring Lashkar-Gah, such as Grishk, Garmsir, Marjia, Sangin, Musa Qala, and Urmuz.
In these facilities, the local medics provide crucial emergency care to patients. When necessary, patients are stabilised and then transferred to hospital in Lashkar-Gah by ambulances which operate 24/7.
The hospital has been open and fully operational throughout the numerous phases of the conflict since 2001.
The Lashkar-Gah Surgical Centre treated patients during the extremely volatile summer of 2021, culminating with the collapse of the Afghan government in August of that year.
The Lashkar-Gah Surgical Centre remains open and committed to continuing operations uninterrupted.
As with many EMERGENCY facilities, the Afghan Ministry of Health has officially recognised the Lashkar-Gah Surgical Centre as a training facility for emergency surgery and traumatology. A core component of EMERGENCY’s work – in all its hospitals and medical facilities is close partnership with, and training of, local medical professionals and ancillary staff.
موسسه ایمرجنسی در سال 2004 مرکز جراحی قربانیان جنگ را در لشکرگاه افتتاح کرد.
این شفاخانه تنها مرکز تخصصی تروما در ولایت هلمند است.
ولایت هلمند یکی از ناآرام ترین مناطق افغانستان در طول دو دهه جنگ بوده است که تعداد زیادی تلفات داشته است.
به منظور ارائه کمک های فوری به نیازمندان، ایمرجنسی بخش کمک های اولیه را در ولسوالی های دور افتاده همجوار لشکرگاه مانند گریشک، گرمسیر، مرجیه، سنگین، موسی قلعه و ارمز ایجاد کرد.
در این مراکز، پزشکان محلی مراقبت های اورژانسی حیاتی را به بیماران ارائه می دهند.
در صورت لزوم، بیماران تثبیت میشود و سپس با آمبولانس هایی که به صورت شبانه روزی فعالیت می کنند، به بیمارستان لشکرگاه منتقل می شوند.
این بیمارستان از سال 2001 در طول مراحل متعدد درگیری باز و کاملاً فعال بوده است.
مرکز جراحی لشکرگاه بیماران را در تابستان 2021 معالجه کرد که با فروپاشی دولت افغانستان در ماه حوت همان سال به اوج خود رسید.
مرکز جراحی لشکرگاه همچنان باز است و متعهد به ادامه عملیات بدون وقفه است.
وزارت بهداشت افغانستان مرکز جراحی لشکرگاه را رسماً به عنوان مرکز آموزشی برای جراحی ایمرجنسی و تروماتولوژی به رسمیت شناخته است.
