THE SEA CAVE CAMPING

We had a wonderful time at Sea cave. It was our first campsite while traveling for a month in Albania and it remains one of the best we had. The owners were very friendly and helped us finding good places to eat and little beaches not crowded. The grounds were flat. The bathrooms were ok. We did swim a lot from the campsite and had really good fun observing the fish under our feet. The water was so clear! I highly recommend this place to everyone, it's a real gem in Himarë!

Everything we could have asked for in a campsite was met at this place. The staff were so friendly and informative.

The tents were lovely and comfortable for me and my partner.

The view was amazing with chairs outside the tent to relax in the morning. Electricity to charge your phone, mattress for comfort, kitchen, toilet area with shower, couldn't ask for more

At night we went down to the rocks below(50 meters or less) and enjoyed the view of the sky with the stars shining and moonlight all along the water, it was amazing.

And all for a cheap price!

Such a lovely camp spot. If you stay, definitely offer to help out because they often do need volunteers. I was able to run the camp (making coffee for happy campers, checking people in/out, and emptying tents) and got a free night stay :) very worth it.

Location is awesome. Stayed 5 nights with our own tent. Lots of people to meet and share stories with. If you have a 2/3 person tent I think there’s always gonna be space for you to set up. Cooking area is nice, bathrooms and showers work 👍

Super short walk to the grocery store for like TP, water, snacks and whatnot.

I do have to say! Be really careful swimming in the ocean just around Himarë because local plumbing tends to go into the ocean. A lot of people were getting sick and not sure if it was related but, just keep ya mouth closed if you’re in the water.

If you do get really sick, go to the hospital. It’s free, a 5 minute walk, they’ll put you on a hydration drip if your sick. Antibiotics cost like €25 and that was the only expense.

The Sea Cave Camping is simply the best place one can stay at if on a summer trip in Albania. Rachel and Mario are the nicest hosts, always kind and ready to answer your questions. The camping itself is situated at the sea under the pine trees, which provides the tents with pleasant shade. The toilet and the bath are always very clean. There is a nice common cooking and socializing area, where you can hang out, use the wifi and drink a good coffee the staff serves you from the bar. We were with two kids (9 and 12) who also enjoyed the environment a lot and happily roamed around. We simply loved the place and will definitely go back! Highly recommended.

The most beautiful camp I have ever been. Camping under pine trees, in the shade and protected from wind. There is direct access to the sea, but be aware that it is directly deep water, suitable only for children who are good swimmers. The facilities are nice, very simple, but extremely clean. There’s a nice community kitchen a bar. No loud music, a peaceful chill area around the bar. The place attracts nice people: nature lovers, a good community. The hosts are wonderful! This place was the highlight of our trip. We planned a vacation full of hardcore hikes, but decided to take some ‘days off’, and just chill in the camp. The town is a 5-10 minutes walk, and it has everything you need to buy (fish from fishermen, shops), but it’s not a nice town. Mass tourism and trash, but we only went in to shop, so no problem. The sea is crystal clear, there are plemty of natural places and nice villages we could visit nearby (combining car rides and hiking). We loved the place, loved the hosts, we highly recommend it!

I had an amazing experience! The friendly atmosphere, abundant activities, and the exceptional hospitality made it a truly memorable experience. I enjoyed every moment of my stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic camping getaway.

This place is very good vibes!! The most relaxed little camp site. We stayed in a very comfy tent right next to the water for 5 nights. There is a bar with beers, sofa and coffee available for purchase. It’s a short walk to the nearby town Himare where there are yummy restaurants or you can cook your own food in the camp kitchen. Will be coming back for sure!!

Best place we stayed during our 14 day visit to Albania. The people who run it are the sweetest around - flexible, problem-solving and optimistic. We planned to stay two nights but ended up staying four nights. Love this place<3

This camp is a dreamy place. When we first found the camp we couldnt believe that what we exactly imagined we found in that place in Himara. The owner and his wife were so lovely and helpful for everything and so positive. The tends were super comfortable and clean. Also the toilets were always well cleaned. You can rest there and socialize with great people from all around the world. I had the best experience there, I highly recommend this place!

Mario and his family run this beautiful place where you can sleep in tents provided. They also offer a well-equipped kitchen so you can prepare your own meals.
They are super friendly and helpful, everything it takes to enjoy your holiday.
The campsite is right by the sea in a small forest area. The trees provide more than enough shade during the hot hours of the day. If it gets too hot, you can jump straight into the water.

I can highly recommend this place.

The best camping in Himara. Great hospitality from Mario and his family. If you get hot the sea its near you about 3 meters. Clean waters and clean environment. I hope I can go there and this summer!!!

We had 2 amazing days at the camping. It's a beautiful place- very natural and authentic. Nice foresty area with trees and shadow and enough place for tents. The best is the direct connection to the sea so you can almost jump out of your tent into the water. And don't forget to bring your snorkelling equipment there are nice colourful fish to see. Mario and his family are very kind and helpful. Best camping in himare!

AMAZING! RECOMMEND.
SHOWER CABIN and toilet are always CLEAN and without smell !!!
Even when it was full, there was enough space. I didn't feel like it was crowded. Everyone was quiet. Not many mosquitos. Owners: Mario and his wife are positive, helpful and adequate.
Buy swimming mask, because it's located on rocks and you can do Snorkelling for free there.
My personal comparison between this camping and Pine side camp : Pine side (neighbor) seems more dynamic, more people were there ( they were even younger?), they have more tents, BUT less trees!! (and less space between tents?). The sea cave more chill.
bathrooms are cleaner in The sea cave camping, in my opinion.
As for sunbathing area:
Pine side has wider place (you will have more sun time for laying on a deck chair in pine side camp) for sunbathing and more deck chairs ( Sea cave have deck chairs too).

I’ve never ever stayed in a tent, it happened to be that my first ever experience happened in the Sea Cave.

some people may think that staying in a camp is not a really comfortable experience, especially who’s never had one, but the Sea Cave is just a piece of paradise.. Before coming there, I was working 8 months non-stop and once I got to the camp, for 3 days I just couldn’t move, my body was unable to do anything, because I got really hard relaxation at the place. The place is located right on a shore of the sea and kind owners let me stay on the best spot so that when I was unzipping my tent, first thing I saw - was the shiny sea. I just put my swimsuit first thing in the morning and jumped into the water that was just 10 meters from me. Best mornings ever in my life.

And one more thing to say, the territory is located in a forest (the smell all the time is just wow!) with quiet high trees so it alway was under a shade, which helps amazingly when a day is hot.

Kitchen is very nice and well equipped, everything is organized and clean. Bathrooms and showers as well. There are a lot of spots to chill, some couches, chairs, hammock’s and etc. To my complete surprise, they even have sockets next to every tent. I was not lacking anything, the whole staying was just a pleasure.

Mario and Rachael are great owners and just amazing people who do care about the place, always welcoming and always do their best to help. Special thanks for finding a driver to get us to the airport in the middle of the night🙏🏻

Now I know where I can rest with my whole being. I will definitely be back the next year.

I was there in July 2019. What a great place! Summers are hot in Albania but there on the camping under the pines with the sea at your feet, it is really heaven! If you like experiencing nature in a tent with basic facilities but great service, this is your place to be! We booked for one night and stayed the whole last week of our holiday. Also other clients stayed longer than planned. Mario is a great host!

My recent camping adventure by the mesmerizing combination of nature and sea was an absolute delight. It provided the perfect escape from the daily grind, immersing me in the tranquility and beauty of the great outdoors.

We were at the camp in august 2022 and had a great time! Rachel and her collegues helped us with everything we needed, including my marriage proposal! This place will be in our hearts forever! Besides that, the whole camp is in the shade of the pine trees which makes it very pleasant. After a hot day you can dive in the sea or chill at the seaside. The vibe is great, it feels like your in a great hostel with lots of other travellers and nice people. Thanks again Rachel and collegues!!

Amazing location and great staff. You can have anything you desire in a camping ground, in the middle of a pine forest and next to the sea. The view is spectacular!

This is an amazing location along the coast, with decent tents for two or four people in the shade of the pinetrees. From there you can jump straight into the blue sea. Theres a little bar where you can get drinks, cocktails and great coffee. The guys of the campsite are very helpful and working hard to make sure every guest is comfortable. This is a great place to relax, chill and enjoy the warm breeze and the sound of the sea. Dont expect great luxury but do expect an amazing time.

First of all: we`ve had one of the most beatiful holiday time ever! And we traveled a lot!
The campside is stunning beautiful, as some of the other guests allready mentioned. You`ll find shade under the pine trees, sun and crazy clean water a few steps from your tent. Mario and his crew prepared the place super nice and they were allways ready to help. We`ve had a great time with the guys running the place, we became good frieds! Our plan was to stay one or two nights, in the end got stucked there for 15 nights.
The campside is also really good located, you`ll find everthing you need in Himare town, max 10 minutes to walk. Good restaurants, shops for your dayli needs, italien quality icecrem - everythink.
We came there by car from Switzerland, you`ll find a big parking very close. There is no need to be scared because of your car, the Sea Cave crew is allways watching the parking.
Come here, enjoy the place, relaxe and enjoy the peace! We can absolutely recoment the place, better than every hotel we`ve been. It`s absolutely worth the smal money per night and the guys deserve every cent. We`ll be back next year for sure! Thx Mario and Vijon and all the other nice people there!
