We were pleasantly surprised by the visit to the aquarium. We had a great time and saw the beauty of the oceans in full display. I definitely recommend. A beautiful day in the heart of Vienna

Absolutely fantastic. You pay 21 euros full adult price to see plenty of kinds of aquatic animals but also tropical ones and many different bugs. Then you go to the top floor and there is a mini museum about the military past of the tower which used to be an anti-aircraft tower during WW2.There are precious historical artifacts. And when you finally finished the exhibitions you can rest at the top floor where there is a cafe/ restaurant bar. I highly recommend it if you visit Vienna for a few days

Fantastic place to visit, especially for families and kids. With a 9 floor building with special aquariums, and other animals. The sharks, hammer sharks, and gelly fish are a highlight. Cool ideas and tunnels to go through. Ants go around the building in glass railings.
Finally, the restaurant on the 10 floor with a 360 degree view to Vienna is a must visit, with good food and service as well.

The place is better than the zoo. There are rooms where the animals can move freely around you. Definitely recommend. Also, no one checked our tickets when we came in from the cafe because we were there first.

One of the best places in Vienna Austria to look for exotic animals and birds.
Some people may say the tickets are a bit too high, but I would say please look at this way these exotic animals need special care and attention. There needs to be a good Veterinary Doctor on site round the clock to ensure the animals are always in the best of health for us.
It's also important to note that the costs of running the water filtration plants don't come free. So in good faith I personally feel that one should not complain about the costs of the entry tickets but rather look at the hard work and the efforts being put in but this institution being put in so that we and our children can see nature in its full splendor in the City of Vienna.

Was absolutely fun! The building was also different to other types of an aquarium and made the experience nicer as well. Definitely recommend. Gorgeous restaurant and view at the top!

Fine place with a lot of interesting exhibitions and animals, we spent almost 3 hours there. There is a fast line if you have online tickets. Parking house is 5 min away, about 4 eur/hour

Very interesting aquarium, terrarium and zoo. Located in a tall building, there are 11 floors to visit, so be prepare to walk the stairs until you drop. Totally worth the price of admission, and you get the workout for free.

Good places for visiting with kids. There are a lot of places where you can sit and rest. There is a restaurant inside with food for kids (pizza, sandwiches etc ). The big advantage is that the places are open on Sunday.

There are lot of beautiful snakes, fishes and bugs. The ants are amazing. The area is good you can see some kind of monkeys. It takes 2 hours for me to see all but the price worth the visit

We had a great time at Haus des Meeres, it's deceiving just how much that can be fit into one building!

Such a diverse set of exhibits on display, rather than the generic animals showing at a normal Zoo. The inclusion of an aquarium also is great and we would definitely come back next time we are in Vienna.

I recommend booking tickets online in advance to avoid a line and have quick entry to the exhibits. There is a main elevator that is pram and wheelchair friendly.

Absolutely bizarre experience. The animals and insects were so random, and it made it so much fun to explore! The monkeys were FREE RANGE in their exhibit- which was exciting. They have a huge rock wall on the outside of the building, a 360 view cafe on top, and endless creatures to explore. I can’t wait to come back. I’d recommend getting the annual pass if you see yourself going more than twice, as it’s the price of just two visits.

Great experience. Interesting animals and a Lot of content.
Amazing coffee on a top floor with beautifull 360 view od Vienna.

I recommend to book tickets online, or go after 17:30 because during the Day line was huge!

The views alone are worth the price of admission. An incredibly unique aquarium with a vertical layout in a converted ww2 anti aircraft tower. My only complaint is it can be somewhat disorienting, and tough to forge a path that makes sure you’ll see all the exhibits. None the less, a must see building, aquarium and panoramic of Vienna.

The best aquarium you've ever been to is a place you'll never get bored of. It is suitable for the whole family and suitable for all ages.

This is a must visit when in Vienna! Did not have high expectations for this place but I was in for a surprise. Go to the 11th floor with the elevator and move your way down while being amazed of this place. Besides fish and sharks there are also other animals. There is an area where you can walk with monkeys running around you! Grab a selfie with one, they are so used to people and do not mind a camera! And the outdoors view from the roof is to die for! Best view I have seen in Vienna.

An amazing, all-encompassing aquarium. You can easily spend half a day there.
Despite what the name suggests, Haus des Meeres also holds splendid birds and other animals which can be observed quite closely. Most habitats can be entered.
The Australian birds enclosure was especially lovely. The Australian section has also one secretive inhabitant, a woylie. It looks like a graceful rat and jumps like a wallaby.

The aquariums are also great, and so are the different amphibians and water plants. Prepare for an amazing adventure.

Unique and interesting aquarium! Definitely worth a visit. Lots of interesting sea creatures and other animals to see. We took our 2 year old son who is obsessed with sea creatures and he loved it! We had a wonderful experience.

We went on a Sunday morning and waited in line before it was open. We took the elevator and went to the 10th floor and just worked our way down. It got more and more crowded as we reached the lower floors. I would not take a stroller inside unless absolutely necessary. You would have to use the lift to get down every floor which can be difficult and time consuming. We left around 11:30 and there was a long queue to enter so I recommend buying tickets in advance.

I will definitely visit again but try to go on a weekday. I would also like to visit the rooftop restaurant next time.

Excellent place! Great place for the whole family, but quite busy. Better to book tickets online and start your journey from the top floor and go downstairs.

A must-see for animal lovers in Vienna. Even though I am usually not a fan of zoos, this one feels very different for the animals get to live in what seems like their own environment with enough space. If you expect only fish, be ready for a big surprise!
Don't get an evening only ticket if you are coming here for the first time, you will want to take at least 3 hours to go through the building and take it all in, I regretted having to run through the last 2 floors.
The highlight for me was petting the koi fish and having them suck on my thumb ! So sweet :)
