One of the best private caravan parks on the other side of Lake Moogerah. Great hidden areas to chill around with family and friends.

What a beautiful place. Cafe nearby. Public toilets.
Wonderful climb to the mt Edwards summit. It is unmarked and loose rocks everywhere so need care to step but no scrambling at all required. It is a little steep in the mid section. But nothing too dangerous. Great hike. Will be back soon. Good view from the top. But I don't care for views.

I recently visited Lake Moogerah picnic area. It was a great day out for the family and the views were fantastic. The at the cafe/shop staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We were able to use our boat and jet ski great fun. We also had a nice picnic and BBQ area so we could enjoy some lunch before heading out onto the water. I would highly recommend it for a day out for the family, plenty of activities and great views.

Beautiful place.. it is definitely worth the drive to sit and have a beautiful home packed picnic lunch or bbq

Amazing place to visit when there is no Moon and clouds.

Incredible sunset behind the mountains, and then fantastic view of the stars at night.

Can get busy, but most people keep lighting to a minimum to enjoy the stars.

Oh, and there was a flock if birds sleeping in the tree outside the toilets, heads tucked in. I took a photo while the toilet lights were still on. Birds were deep asleep. Some kids disturbed them, but they didn't fly away, this is the pic when I came back and they were asleep again.

Beautiful well maintained picnic area with views across the dam. Plenty of open spaces, BBQ facilities, tables under cover, clean toilets and bins. It can get quite busy on weekends, we found the lower picnic area a lot quieter. You can walk across the dam wall and do the hike through Moogerah Peaks National Park.

Really nice place for a day picnic near Brisbane. Lots of parking, lot of covered places to have food, lots of grass to sit or walk around, children's play area, barbeque spots and picturesque lake. One of the best place to go again and again and again!

Very picturesque and green grassy areas at the moment. Covered tables and benches as well as covered electric BBQ's. Children's play area under shading trees. Tidy Public Facilities. Excellent Cafe on site with a comprehensive menu. Dog friendly, on leash. Walking track up to top of Mt Edwards.

Great little spot with lots to do. Some wonderful hikes, Mt Greville is one of my favourites overlooking the dam, mt edwards accessible right by crossing the dam wall.

This place is so beautiful, a great area for picnic, hiking (3k) and relaxing for everyone. Also, take your BBQ stuff with you.

Great spot for a picnic and a swim. Toilets onsite, electric bbq, ample shade and close to parking. You have to walk down the slope to get to the water as per photo. Beautiful views
