Proshanti Park and Picnic Spot

Proshanti Park and Picnic Spot is a Forest Department owned Park and lake.Its is situated beside kaptai Chittagong Highway and Karnaphuli river. Kaptai zero point is 3/4km far from this park.

Facilities:
1. Cottage and Camping available for stay. Cottage charge 2500-3000 taka per room.Camping charge 950 taka including food,tent and kayaking.
2. Restaurant available.They serve food in pre-order basis.
3. Kayaking available. Charge 200 taka for 1 hour for 2 person.
4. Entry ticket 20 taka per person.
5. Beautiful shed beside Karnaphuli river for camping.
6. Mosque available for prayer inside park.
7. Toilet and washroom available.
8. Road side car/bike parking.
9. Boat service available.

Cons:
1. Dirty washroom.
2. They allow sound system for picnic party which is so much irritating.
3. Restaurant, Cottage, camping and kayak run by Private entity. And their service is not good enough. Stuff shortage is a big issue.
4. Boat service run by local and they are not friendly.
5. Restaurant can't provide you food if you don’t order in advance.
6. Security is an issue.
7. Roadside parking.

Great place for passing time. Their Foods are neat and taste great. I loved the kayaking. The environment is so calm.

Park downside u can also enjoying fishing and buy fresh fish by kaiking boat.kaptai is best place for kaiking.

It is very much beautiful as well as flexible cost for night camp at this park.

Nice place on the way to kaptai lake. Outing, boating, lake view, food, shop etc. are available.

It's a good place for passing your leisure or holiday. There are a very large space, stage for programme, some free ride. Another good item is KAYAK. You can rent a kayak for kayaking in Karnaphuli river which give you a better feel.

This is a park situated besides the Kaptai lake, surrounded with hills and mountains. The roads are really lovely to ride and drive. This park has cottage and camping facility for the tourists to stay at night. You can explore the real beauty of the Kaptai lake during the dawn.
