Zoo Gorica

This is a really nice rustic zoo! A good variety of animals, lots of areas to sit and have a picnic and play areas for children. The animals appear to he well looked after, with an abundance of food. Animals are happy and engage with visitors. My wife was particularly happy that a monkey held her hand. Really affordable for a family to visit this little petting zoo, under'2's are free, 2-12years is 4 Lev and adults / 12+ is 8 Lev. I really liked how most enclosures / benches and fences appear to be made out of re-used wood / branches. There is also lots of shade as you walk around, with the majority of enclosures and walkways protected by tree cover. To conclude, a really nice small petting zoo, that offers visitors a low cost afternoon out where you do not need to worry about the health of the animals. Have included a few pictures from our visit, including the hand-holding monkey.

Nice and shaded. Animals seem well kept. You can feed them cabbage or corn.

I love this mini forest 😊zoo....so climatic. I call it forest zoo as it is among lots of trees like in forest, it is very relaxing place. We have been there two times and we are definitely will be back next season. Monkeys were eating corn from our hands, so cute....it says dengerous monkey so we stay cautious and fed them from distance and they were very gentle picking food from our fingers. Lots of roe deers that are friendly and you can feed them as well as rabbits, chicken, goose, horser and few spiecies more... There are hammocks and swings for kids... you can have a drink and have nice relaxing time in nature 😍sign by Nature Lover

Later edit: Came back after one year, it is still a great place for a family trip away from the noisy hotel.

This is the perfect place to spend a hot afternoon. In the forest the temperatures are much lower compared to the beach, so the air is breathable. Also the kids love to feed the animals with the 2 lv food bags that you can buy from the entrance. You can find here deers, monkeys, pigeons, goats and boars.
You can combine this Zoo trip with a visit to Byala ancient fortress, an impresive and well preserved 7th century AD greek settlement.

Amazing zoo, the best I've been to in Bulgaria. The reason being they give you food to feed the animals, so all animals are well-fed and always before your eyes and not locked up in a cage.

Small place, not too many kinds of animals, and lots of flies and some mosquitoes, but still very worth visiting for the unique design, mostly wood structures, and the very friendly animals that you can feed. There are lots of places to sit around: benches, hammocks, swings, even since some wooden seesaws.

Great place for the kids - you can see monkeys, horses, goats, rabbits, ducks, dears, ostrich and a wolf.

Great eco zoo, animals look very much happy and they have great weather conditions due to all the trees surrounding the zoo area.

This zoo is very interesting! Near the zoo there is a restaurant but it is closed because of Covid situation. So because of the restaurant there are a lot of parking places just be careful because the road is very busy. So when you go to buy ticket you can buy some food for the animals - corn, carrots and cabbage. There are a lot of rabbits, birds, monkeys, horse, pony, ostriches, deers, pigs and so on. You can feed them and this is very funny activity. There is a toilette and rest place with very nice wooden hammocks.

Very nice to visit if you have kids. During week days are few people. Many animals. Really sweet monkey, rabbits and little pigs.

Really unique private zoo. We even helped to capture rabbit who tried an escape to wilderness surrounding.

Great place for relax and dinner

Love this place. We want to go every year, there is that much to see. Lots of animals and you can get up really close. They sell food for 1lv /bag 50p in our money to feed the animals. Plenty sitting and picnic areas dotted about. Never tried the restaurant there as always took a picnic.
