Polska Skakavitsa Waterfall

One of my favourite waterfalls in Bulgaria. It's not very big by water volume, but it's still quite magnificent. Easy to access for beginner hikers either from the nearby village or from the train station. There are tables and benches in the area, which allows for picnics.

It's hard to describe with words how nice and beautiful the place is. There are different terraces / levels to explore and look at the waterfall. Very refreshing on a hot summer day. The walk is not exhausting, very light physical activity for a mountain hike. People even bring their kids and dogs.

Absolutely stunning waterfall. Not the best road if you are driving for the last part (around 3 km). A nice scenic walk there if you dont. The last part of the walking path up and down are a little steep. Both up and bottom part are worth visiting.

Best waterfall ever! I can spend days there. Easy trail, amazing views and the best part is you can go underneath the waterfall. I recommend visiting in the summer that way you can take the most refreshing shower.

Absolutely astonishing! This waterfall is not so popular but I definitely recommend going to see it - it is beautiful! There are several viewpoints around it: you can see the whole of it distantly or you can go right underneath it if you like! Also there are several picnic places around it that are close to the river which makes it even more worth it for a nice weekend runaway:)

Having been here in the start of summer we decided it was appropriate to see how it is on a warm autumn day.....and we were not disappointed. This is is a lovely place to visit, and today it was completely deserted and quiet.
You can walk straight down to the waterfall, or take the scenic ecotrail that takes a longer downhill circuit to the bottom on the falls, and then follow the circular route back to the start.

One of my favourite waterfalls. Has 2 levels, the nature around is a bit like a fairy tale.

Extremely picturesque waterfall - one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. Highly recommend for a one-day family vacation.

It's so pretty, and it's just a short walk from the train station (stop Polska skakavitsa) nothing too exhausting, and there are designated pictic and tent areas near the river, it's lovely

Great view. It's easy to get to the waterfall. Best if you visit in spring or fall.

Best place to chill in the hot days. The River down Struma is very wild and still untouched. Nice adventure to make also with the train.

Tall an beautiful waterfall, highly recommend it.
From the asphalt there is 4km dirt road (it is cross able with passenger car if you have little more skill.). After the dirt road there is a trail leading to the waterfall. The trail is steep but well maintained.

A beautiful waterfall. It's easy to reach - there is a 4km dust road after the main road, that can be taken on foot or with car. Above the waterfall is a guesthouse with a small restaurant - they offer grill, fries and soup. Note that the guest house and restaurant are not always working. From the guest house you have 500-600m hike to the waterfall - it's well marked and you can't miss it - just follow the arrows.

It exceeded my expectations.
