ASTORIA HOTEL

I stayed here for just under a week with my adult daughter at the end of May/early June. We wanted a quiet relaxing break as we lead busy lives in London and Hotel Astoria fitted the bill in all respects.

We were delighted. The hotel was at least as good as many we have stayed in around Europe and not far short of the standard we have enjoyed in Dubai etc but at a fraction of the price. It's fantastic value for money.

Our room was large and well designed with excellent fittings. The buffet dining rooms were large, well designed and spotless due to the legions of cleaning staff on duty throughout the hotel at all times.

Reception team were outstanding and a special mention to Boris the luggage porter, clearly so very proud of the hotel, we loved his enthusiasm. All the staff were polite, friendly and helpful which is a real achievement when guests aren't always as gracious as they could be.

The animation team were energetic, professional and entertaining but also recognised that some people just wanted to be left in peace, I am one them and appreciated their respect of my preference.

The food and drinks were extremely good with plenty of choice, we thought the Asian restaurant was fantastic, the Italian was perhaps the weakest of the three but the pizzas were superb. Great selection of deserts and fruit etc.

Pool spotlessly clean as were the surrounding areas with ample comfortable sunbeds and plenty of umbrellas and tables.

The private beach opposite the hotel was well maintained and clean as was the whole area between the various hotels and the sea, it felt safe and friendly, truly cosmopolitan. Plenty of alternative bars, supermarkets and eateries along the strip to suit most budgets.

I have no doubt that we will be back before the end of the season.

Overall had a great stay. The food was good and abundant, the drinks were also fine and diverse, the room - averagely clean, but ok. Wasn't interested in animations and shows, but there were plenty. The location is very nice and the beach is really near. Thank you Astoria Mare for the good time.

Amazing experience! I asked the staff to help me organize a surprise for my parents and not only that they were happy to do it and agreed immediately, but they actually came up with improvements ideas and executed it brilliantly! I am simply amazed by the entire experience and I really recommend the stay at this hotel as I am sure you will be in good hands!

Amazing place to relax and get pampered. I recommend the massages and treatments. The staff is amazing and friendly, always willing to help. Totally recommend it for vacation. The place is also kid friendly and has a lot of activities

Location ig great for vacation with or without kids. The hotel employees are diligent and helpful, including in the kitchen area where I asked for help and the service was exceptional. Food is very good and fresh. CONS: the Beer is realy bad (have a bitter taste). The Black Sea water is clean and turcquise. All arounds are clean and green. The Bulgarian Coast sea is nicely filled with hills. The sand is good for kids. On the beach the sunchairs and umbrellas are free for hotel guests and the Astoria Hotel has a Beatch Bar with cold drinks included.

Amazing hotel. We enjoyed everything, the food, the room, the location, the beach. Also the parking facility was nice. We will definetely be back here. The nice man from the restaurant (older than the other members, he looks like the boss or something) was really helpful and kind all the time.
Cons: some people of the young staff were rude, looked either bored or bothered if you wanted to ask anything.
But overall, a great vacation!

Big and clean rooms, good food, good service. They have indoor and outdoor pool and both of them are nice. I loved the SPA corner. Also, the beach is near the hotel.. 500m or something like that. :)

This is a gorgeous hotel, with professional personnel and extraordinary options for leisure. The room is great, the view is spectacular and everything is clean. Food is various, it has japanese, Italian and European restaurants, very stylish. Experience is great!

Very nice hotel. Perfectly located, right on the beach. You only need to cross the promenade to the beach. Nice rooms, large, comfortable beds, large bathroom. There was no problem with sunbeds either on the beach or at the pool. Food very good, lots of choice. I wasn't even able to try everything and every day some dishes were changed to different ones. But the soul of the hotel is mainly the animators Petra and Alexander. All day and evening, they ensure fun and atmosphere. Without them, this hotel would be an ordinary sleeping building. In general, the hotel staff is nice and always smiling, even when they don't have a moment of rest at work. I recommend this hotel and would definitely go back there.

Beautiful location, nice spa, lovely indoor activities for children in case of a rainy day or you need some entertainment for your little one while you are enjoying the pool. The food is not the greatest, but it's diverse enough every day.
The hotel is right next to the beach and this was a nice aspect, but the area is also very crowded, so in case you want a quiet place this might not be the best one for you.
Overall we had a great time there! :)

This is a great hotel, the rooms are big and the beds are super soft and comfortable. The food here is great, staff is really friendly and will try to help you if you have a problem. This hotel has a pool that could use some heating as it's incredibly cold. In the lobby there is a bar and you can order how many drinks you wish for free. Overall this hotel gives you that comfortable and new feeling.

5 stars for this all-inclusive service at the Astoria -> everything was just perfect: plenty of food, big pool that you can really enjoy (everybody was going to the sea so the pool was mine :) lots of activities / fun things to do inside the hotel ...
3 stars for the location: Golden Sands -> it was very crowded

On arrival we had to Cue for 20 mins. As two coaches arrived at once. So was a bad start for us standing around, weren’t given a welcome drink. Then told to go for Food and come back for your room to be allocated, another wait as they were still checking in. The rooms are large and clean, nice walk-in shower. However the beds were only straightened everyday we were there. just folded the quilts in two on top of the bed to look tidy, don’t tidy the sheets, I did my own a couple of days, to show them how. then I gave up. Most staff friendly mainly the bar staff. Some in the dining room looked as they didn’t want to be there. You wouldn’t go hungry,
Plenty to chose from. Plenty of Deserts, not our taste though. In a good position, as some hotels are very elevated up steps. We would return at a quieter time when hotel not so Full.
Was horrendous at meal times, People going all directions for there food. Some choose to walk through you if your not careful.

Big, modern looking room, a very nice big bathroom, at 300m from the beach. You can hear the sea from balcony even at 9th level.

I highly recommend. Excellent hotel, perfect animation for all age grouos (special greetings to Rado and Zlatko ans all the amazing tesm). The atmosphere is stylish, the food is varied and very tasty (There is Asian and Italian cuisine) The staff is smiling and cheerful. If you want to have the perfect summer vacation - this is your place.

The best accommodation I've ever had. Cozy clean rooms, big enough for two adults and two children, sea view. Three restaurants (Main, Italian and Chinese) with delicious food, plenty of space at the pool and a lot of activities prepared by the enjoying staff. I'm returning next year!

The hotel is clean and new, food is good, well cooked (some products are of low quality but hey... it tastes good all in all). Overall it looks nice and the staff is very well organized.
The things that need improvement;
1. No beach bar
2. No ventilation in the bathroom
3. Shady cleaning ladies
4. Pool closes much too soon
5. Drinks are also low quality
6. Parking way too small and expensive
7. No vanity kit in the room
It's not the hotel's fault, but some guests have no manners! They go to the pool or on the beach and leave their towels on several beach chairs and don't come back until 2-3h afterwards.
P.S. Pizza is AMAZING!!

Lovely place with beautiful views and helpful staff. They offer vegan and vegetarian options for parties, which was a delicious surprise. Keep in mind though that the wellness area is not included in the price for a night.
