Atwater Street Tacos

Really good, we had 2 street tacos and the quesabirria tacos and a tostada. All delicious. Also a churto and a huge fried ice cream thats for sure shareable. And decent priced as well. All together it was only about $33.

My wife and I found ourselves Downriver, and of course we were hungry.

Oh, look, Atwater Street Tacos!

Walking into there place reminded me of a hip / industrial cantina with a dining room and a covered, heated patio with windows to view Huron River. So we sat there for our meal.

We started with a nacho chip flight that came with four dipping sauces; two hot and two cold.

I got a street taco al pastor, which was nothing short of amazing! For my main entrees, I ordered the Big Ole Burrito filled with Carne Asada, rice, cheese, beans and mucho more goodness.

The Elote Mexican street corn is difficult to describe. It's spicy, sweet, sour, cheesey, and delicious. Need more!

Atwater Street Tacos is a hidden gem for taco enthusiasts. The taco lunch, complete with refried beans and cilantro rice, is a culinary delight. I finally decided to eat here and it was definitely worth it! The quesabirria tacos with consume are so delicious. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu. It's location is perfect. The river is nice and the park nearby is also awesome! The flavor of my food was on point, service was good, bathrooms were clean. If you haven't stopped here what are you waiting for?

Food was fresh and fantastic. Staff super friendly and the place was very clean. Nice little heated patio area with a great view of the river. Definitely will be back!!

Excellent food with a lot of choices and a nice stream view. Staff have always been friendly. The bosses need to update the credit card system to accept tips--it's only fair to the staff.

Living in the downriver area for more than a decade, I’ve passed this restaurant by for years. We decided to stop by for a quick lunch in between errands.
I’m shook that I haven’t tried this place sooner.
The service by the cashier/service employee was phenomenal, I believe his name was Alex? Anyways, he gave great recommendations & offered for us to sit in the “heated patio/sun room” for our meal. This could hardly do any justice to the amazing flavors & textures of our food. We ordered the “Dip Flight” (I think that’s the name) & the Fajita tacos to split (portions were more than enough for 2 people).

All in all we were super impressed & will certainly make a point to come back, even if it’s just for the atmosphere, you can’t go wrong with this downriver taco restaurant!

I ate here for the first time recently and will absolutely return! I had the Refried Bean Tostadas and they were incredible! Matter of fact, by the time I realized I had not taken a photo, I was already done with them. My husband had the Big Ole Burrito and I did get a pic of that and of course I also took a bite. I completely understand why its a popular choice. The flavors are very well done and not overly salty at all for either of our meals. I love the chipotle flare that they instill in the seasonings and the aioli.
The only thing I regret is not getting one of the loaded fries. They have a Cajun Shrimp Fries, Fajita Fries and Atwater Street Fries on the menu. The table next to us ordered the Cajun Shrimp Fries and OH MY.... they looked incredible!!!

I got lunch at this place as a break from a long 20+ mile day paddling the river. It was fast and delicious. The lunch special tacos with beans and rice was amazing. The al pastor tacos were flavorful and I loved having both the salsa (you get the option of mild or hot, I git mild) and crema sauce that came with. While some taco places have subpar beans and rice that seem more like an afterthought, Atwater's beans and rice were well seasoned and seemed intentional. Wish we had a taco place like this in my town.

This place doesn't really need more good reviews, they are so popular. Their consistently amazing food is why! Not to mention friendly, efficient employees. I have been here many times and have never had a bad meal. And I travel about 30 minutes, passing several other Mexican restaurants. The location right on the Huron River is also a plus. L o v e this place!

What a great find! Just a few short steps from the Flat Rock Festival! Nice, attentive staff. Menu and food tasted phenomenal! Got the modifications to order perfect. The place is so clean. Nice variety of fountain drinks and drinks in general. The picture is of the ensalada with chicken and dressing in the side no tortilla strips and fried ice cream! They had high chairs for the kiddos. Definitely will be coming back!

This is my favorite place to eat. I love the steak fajita Bowl.❤ Everyone is always so nice. Great customer service. I love that you can also eat at the tables outside right next to the water. There is a lot of ducks walking around in the area to. Their food is very Yummy?☺

Been here twice. Both times the food was great. So far everything we have tried we like. The food tastes fresh, not oily.

Fish tacos were great. Tostados were great, the torta sandwich is amazing. The street corn is great - zesty tangy flavor.

The wait is a little long but worth it.

Hands down some of the best Mexican food I ever had in my life in Michigan. Great food and portion sizes for the price. They also have some great tasting Horchata, which is a bonus 👍!

Great food! We have never been disappointed. The “Big ‘Ol Burrito” Al Pastor with pineapple was amazing!! Their chips and queso are fantastic too!

The Quesabirria and the chorizo fries are amazing! Both had fantastic flavors, and the portions were very filling. The staff was friendly and helpful. The patio offered a lovely view of the river and was plenty warm and comfortable. I can't wait to eat here again. :)

First visit was fantastic. Fajita bowl and quesabirria were delicious! We sat on the enclosed patio with a pretty view of the river. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely fantastic food! Warm and friendly environment. Watching the staff prepare your food just makes you want it more. Food was authentic, would have for every meal if I could! Owners are fantastic!!! Everyone should eat here!! Great for all ages!
