Carao Project

My kids and I stayed here and we LOVED it from start to finish. The staff, the rooms, the restaurant, the jungle walk to the beach. We wished we could have stayed longer. It was a short trip from Playa Samara and well worth it. One of our top memories from our trip to Costa Rica.

The only bad thing about this place is having to leave! The photos on airbnb really don't do it justice. The rooms are much more beautiful than in the photos and ours had a hammock on a balcony that was surrounded in mosquito net so we could always leave to doors open and enjoy the beautiful view without letting any unwanted critters in. There is a hot shower and Wi-Fi is available at the restaurant. There are daily yoga classes on the platform in the guanacaste tree and at night it's beautifully lit. It's impossible to describe but being up there is magical. There is a big vegetable garden behind the restaurant where they harvest fresh ingredients for the food, and everything we tried at the restaurant was delicious. A 5 minute walk through the jungle leads you to a beautiful beach with hardly anyone on it. All of this would make for an ideal place to stay but what really sets this place apart and made it by far the best out of all the many places we stayed during our 3 week road trip across the country was the staff. Every one was very helpful and accommodating but particularly the manager Daniel. Never in all my years of traveling or of working in hospitality have I come across such a generous host. He went out of his way to make sure everyone was well taken care of and went above and beyond by taking the time out of his day to take us to see local attractions and hidden gems in the area rather than just recommending tours or giving directions. He was just the right amount of laid back so interactions with him felt warm and genuine rather than stuffy and formal but he kept everything very organized and running smoothly. The energy that he creates with the staff and the guests is a real sense of community that made it easy for everyone to get to know eachother. This place is unique and must be experienced if you're in the area.

It's an amazing place to staat, very relaxing and a beautiful environment. The host is extremely nice and helpful. Sadly, we missed the turtle tour, but I can only imagine it had to be awesome. Carao project is a place you have to visit!

Great place to relax for a bit, friendly service, surfing beaches nearby if you are in to that.

Very nice people

Allereerst de plek is gaaf, heerlijk rustig vlak bij het strand, er is eventueel ook een zwembad waar je lekker kan afkoelen.
De beheerders zijn super aardig, vriendelijk, en.gezellig om mee te praten.
Het huisje wat we kregen was lekker ruim opgezet heerlijk balkon met hangmat, waar je savonds nog even lekker in kan liggen.
De bedden liggen comfortabel voor de goede nacht rustig de badkamer heeft een ruime inloop douche. Met de wc en wasbak is het helemaal compleet. Het is niet super luxe maar dat heb je daar ook niet nodig.
Op het terrein leven ook verschillende soorten dieren die je soms van dichtbij kan bekijken.
Het ontbijt is heerlijk je kan uit paar dingen kiezen dus voor ieder wat wils.
Avond eten is ook echt een aanrader, er is keuze genoeg tussen vis vlees of vegetarisch.
Kortom leuke plek om paar dagen tot week te kunnen blijven.

Excelente! El personal muy atento y amigable, el bowl de açai de Blanca es mortal. Un lugar muy bonito y especial, hay que volver.

Comida exquisita, atención agradable y un lugar ideal para descansar, disfrutar de la playa que está a unos minutos por un su sendero, me encantó.
