OCTOPUS TOUR

Booked a tour via my hotel.
Octopus picked us up a brought us back.
Had a nice tour and got to see dolphins,and a turtle.
We ended with some snorkeling.
They provided drinks and fruit

Had a great time on the dolphin watching and snorkeling tour. Saw exactly what we came to see. The guides were very informative and nice. On the way back we had fruits, juice, and water. The snorkeling and swimming seemed fun although I didn't participate. I was just enjoying the music and the great, positive vibes on the boat!

The kayak tour was very professionally managed. All the people involved from the van driver to the guide, were all very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this tour.

This is an amazing tour that take from 8:30 until 11:30. You will have opportunity to sail on the ocean and have great view of the Costa Rica from sea. Then you will enjoying seeing dolphins playing with the boat. It is eco-tourism as there aren't any materials used to retrieve the dolphins. We also see some turtles. On the come back, we stops near the coast to do snorkeling. We have seen lot of fishes. Tour ends with an drink on the boat where fresh drinks and fresh fruits were available. We loved this tour!

Our original tour had to cancel and they placed us with Octopus Tours as an alternative. While the experience is dependent on what animals you are able to find, we had a wonderful experience. On the trip were were able to observe a humpback whale, multiple sea turtles and the of of course, dolphin. I may have felt differently about the tour if the weather was bad or if the animals hadn’t been there - but for my family of four, we found the while experience to be excellent.

As a prior reviews had mentioned, it had been raining so the water was not suitable for snorkeling but we still were able to swim, have beer and fruit and enjoy the sea and sun. We would not have picked anything different had we had the chance to do it all over again.

We booked this tour through Book With Maria, which was convenient because we knew it would be a trusted partner.

The whale watching tour was lovely - a big comfortable boat, some expertly sliced pineapple, and a great guide. We took our babe on board and she got a little seasick when we stopped to look at some bottle-nosed dolphins, but otherwise was either napping or happy.

We also saw some turtles having a "meeting" 🫣 apparently they can hold that pose for up to 8 hours!!!

Not a lot of animals out that day, which can happen since they don't really care about us lol, but still a great tour, really nice view of the coast from the boat. I like that they didn't use any tricks to lure them in - let nature be.

The tide had been very active so we couldn't do any snorkeling because the water was too cloudy, but you still had the chance to go swimming. The boat has a slide so maybe you can ask to use it haha!

Highly recommend! Our family saw so many dolphins on our tour. The guide and captain were friendly and knowledgeable. Our kids especially enjoyed when we docked and they were able to use the slide off the back of the boat. Very fun!

Great people with a knowledgeable guide! Unfortunately we were not able to see any dolphins other than from a distance (nature doesn’t always work on our terms), but we did get to see a newborn whale with its mother as well as various other marine animals. Our children absolutely loved it and it was well worth the money.

Great people!! Very attentive and friendly. My wife and I went snorkeling and watched the sunset. They provided fresh pineapple, watermelon, beer, vodka, water and juice.

Hicimos la excursión para ver delfines y tuvimos la suerte de ver también ballenas! Los chicos súper amables. Explican todo, son respetuosos y amables. En el mismo barco te ofrecen bebida y fruta fresca.
También pudimos meternos al agua en medio de una bahía para hacer snorkel.
Flori nos trajo de vuelta al punto de encuentro en su camioneta. Todo de 10. Para recomendar!

Tour vraiment sympa, départ de la plage de Samara, guide agréable. Le temps n'était pas trop au rdv, des grandes vagues et on a été bien secoué, expérience déjà pas mal ;-), nous avons vu des raies manta, des tortues en plein accouplement et, cerise sur le gateau, un couple de baleines avec leur bébé entre eux....magnifique!! De retour direction plage, d'habitude il est possible de faire du snorkling mais à cause de l'océan agité pas grande chose à voir...des fruits frais, des boissons sur le bateau, très agréable, bref, une excursion fait par des pros qui en plus sont agréables, je conseille sans hésiter !

Excelente todo!!! Avistamiento de ballenas, delfines y nado en el mar profundo. Eso sumado a frutas, bebidas y cerveza + musica, increíble paseo. El personal 10 puntos, el barco en buen estado, mil gracias!

Sicher meine letzte Tour dieser Art, da es eine Art Jagd war und immer wieder den Tieren hinterhergefahren wurde, obwohl diese an diesem Tag eher kein Interesse an uns und dem Boot hatten…
Die Crew wirkte etwas gehetzt…

die tour war ganz nett. Das schnorcheln war nichts besonderes. Außer Steinen unter Wasser nix los. Ist in Costa Rica aber auch schwer war gutes in Strand Nähe zu finden. Wale zu sehen ist beeindruckend - Aber ! Die Art wie hier hinter den Walen her gehetzt wird gehört (ist vermutlich) verboten. Das war schon eine regelrechte Jagd! Abstand 100m (mit laufendem Motor) wurde auch nicht eingehalten. Toll für die Gäste aber so schädlich für die Wale! Nicht noch Mal!!!

Wir sind bei stürmischen Meer und Regen gestartet, in der Hoffnung das Wetter bessert sich auf dem Meer. Aber leider wurden die Wolken immer dunkler und die Wellen immer höher, der Trip wurde abgebrochen.
Wir bekamen noch vor Ort unser Geld zurück und wurden mit dem Shuttle zum Hotel gefahren. Schade. Es waren alle sehr nett deshalb 3 Sterne.

We found dolphins and a couple of sea turtles and that was about it. The crew had no interest in talking about sea life or much else for that matter. Tried to talk the customers out of snorkeling and took us to a very cloudy area even thought other nearby your boats were having their people snorkel in clearer water. They did the minimum necessary to get it over. Didn’t try to warm up to the customers at all. Part of it may have been the language barrier but they could have at least smiled when they looked at us, nope.

Hele slechte ervaring. De boot ging belachelijk hard op de grote golven, meerdere mensen waren zeeziek. Toen ik vroeg om een plastic zakje kreeg ik het antwoord ‘kots maar over de zijkant van de boot’. Bemanning keek totaal niet naar je om en bleven de gehele eerste 2 uur boven op het dek, stonden niet open voor vragen en deelden geen drinken uit. Voornaamste taak was zo snel mogelijk dolfijnen zien, verder werd er niks verteld of uitgelegd over de dieren in de zee. Snorkelen is niet mogelijk als het in de voorgaande 3 dagen heeft geregend, goed om te weten. Alle spullen die je mee de boot op neemt worden nat, er wordt geen box voor je spullen aangeboden waarin het droog blijft.

Ik raad deze tour niet aan! Zoek een andere touroperator met wel vriendelijke en behulpzame bemanning!
