Hotel Sunset Hill

Our stay in #8 was incredible! We booked the suite via Air BnB, and could not have been more satisfied. You have the perfect spot to watch the sunset every evening. The suite is private and tranquil. Upon check-in you receive information on local attractions and restaurants which took our stay in Monteverde to the next level.

A cabin with jacuzzi in the middle of the forest. The staff are simply incredible. Nice town also.

Absolutely incredible play with a view to die for. There are hummingbirds playing in the front with many different butterflies. The kitchen everything you need and the coffee is the best in the world. Definitely stay here if you have the chance! I just proposed to my girlfriend here and she said yes so that's a good sign! Just be aware that you are in the rain forest so we had to clear away 3 massive harmless house spiders and a small scorpion before we could chill. The sunsets are the best I've ever seen!

The best place to stay in Monteverde!!! Our friend recommended rainbow valley but it was all booked and luckily we found sunset hill, which turned out to have the same owner as Rainbow Valley. Our room is booked via Airbnb and called honeymoon suite. It was private, clean and well-equipped. Our room has a jacuzzi and very spacious. The hotel is located on top of a hill with amazing view. Love the birds chirping and you actually can see some rare birds there. My husband saw Toucanet bird while he was on the balcony. They also have local coffee in the room. The place is super close to the town center and very convenient. Our flight was delayed so we arrived very late. Ana waited for us to ensure we get help to check in. We will definitely stay here again if we visit this place next time.

The most amazing views from our cabin! Everything was wonderful- check in, cleanliness, the view.. even the restaurant at the bottom of the hill called Wine & Grill… wow, excellent food and staff! Gustavo was amazing and made our experience wonderful!

Ok this place was awesome. The cabin we stayed in was called the honeymoon cabin and it was very cool. They had all the necessities as far as a small fridge, stove, coffee maker with coffee and some plates utensils and pots and pans. The hot water was a bit touchy in the shower but it was not impossible to figure out. There is a cat walk that goes out and put have the best view. The staff was very friendly and had lots of good info for stuff to do in the area. I would come back here a million times if i could.

Absolutely spectacular views. The cabin we stayed in was exactly what we were looking for in our stay in Monteverde. It can get a little windy but I think this adds to the charm of the site with the way the trees around you move and sound. The site is professionally run and if you have any questions or concerns the team are more than happy to help

Chris was so helpful with our stay and all of our activity bookings. You really don't have to bother organizing your itinerary in monteverde because Chris's can help take care of it all. The accommodations were very nice and the views were amazing! We felt so lucky to be here. A 4x4 is advisable because of a slightly steep hill leading to the property. Also there were bugs that found their way into our cottage here and there but that is typical of most places in Costa Rica.

This place is heavenly. We spent 2 nights here during a two week trip to Costa Rica. The places are extremely comfortable and modern. There is private parking on site. The views are incredible too. Would recommend.

What a magical piece full place- Your wake up by the sounds of the birds and the sunlight in your face- and the view you even have from the bed will blow your mind away! We first planned to stay just for two nights - but then we extended our stay to a week! I can recommend you to book in advance - because it’s booked out very quickly!! The view is to die for and and the whole stetting is so unique and special- the small kitchen- the privacy -the silence. Everthing you is close by- the National Park and the ziplines- hikes - the thermals, restaurants. I love it so much- we will come back! We saw so many animals and different birds - by far more here then we have seen in the Nationalpark. Mot mots - toucans and Kolibris and this morning even a armadillo ❤ It was super clean and everthing we needed was there. It’s running by a family and they although helped us with everthing - the speak English and the way up from Puntarenas to Monte Verde was very easy and beautiful.

One of the best stays in CR. We came during dryer time so roads were totally fine. Very private, amazing views!

I was on top of the world. Owner is nothing but an angel! If you like to live « IN » the mountain with sounds you have never heard before! This is the place...Pura Vida!
