Villa Paraiso

Beautiful place !!! The room is super cosy and peaceful. Great place to relax, do some hiking and swim in the creek with Scarlet Macaws flying on top.
It is only an hour from the airport and 30 minutes from the beach which makes it a great starting and finishing point to explore the West coast without dealing with all the hassle of the city and get a true taste of local living since this area is still unspoiled from the regular turist.

talk about a place that will take your breath away ! this is the perfect place to relax while you're traveling the country! The creek is nice and cold with a swimming hole right down by the shore. Its quiet at night to wind down and the hospitality is unmatched. In the mornings they place fruit on the bird feeders and all type of tropical birds fly down to eat it is quite a spectacle to behold. If you are traveling here this is a perfect place to stay and you wont be disappointed !

We spent a beautiful few days at Villa Paraiso, took an Uber from San Jose for around $30USD. Our hosts were most helpful and gave perfect tips for the rest of our time in Costa Rica. The room is private, quaint, and beautifully finished with all the creature comforts one could ask for. The bed is comfortable, a fridge to keep your beer cold, cable can be set to English or Spanish, the bathroom is beautiful and the water is hot!
After a day walking in the mountains it is a real treat to go for a swim in the flowing creek at the back of the property, most refreshing!
We were very impressed by Jose's knowledge of the flora and fauna in the area and his love for the land. This will be the first of many trips we will make to Villa Paraiso, next time will be with a group to explore the beautiful mountains and rivers that surround the Orotina area and are completely untouched by tourism. We highly recommend a stay at Villa Paraiso!

Is a place to stay more than one night, close to the beach and the airport, the garden and animals are amazing.
It is a place where you can really experience the Costa Rican life, rural tourism, wildlife, enjoy the sound of the creek relaxing on a hammock or drink a coffe from the farm.

Villa Paraíso Indeed!
My wife and I absolutely loved every minute we spent there! An eco-small Villa set amid beautiful gardens and giant trees near to a creek. The room is very comfortable, the bed is very comfy and it has an amazing interior design. Nice porch with chairs and a hammock. José and Brenda were the perfect hosts. Easy to perceived, they have worked in every single detail in their property. Make sure to ask José where the nest of the Scarlet Macaws are.
Lots of activities nearby, such as hiking and bird watching. Carara national park is just few minutes away!

Amazing hospitality, delicious food, attractive and comfortable accommodations. We much enjoyed speaking with the hosts and appreciate the time they took to share informative tips for our travels in Costa Rica.

Villa Paraiso a absolutely amazing place from all the different plans, birds waterfalls and wildlife all around you. The perfect camping for any kind of experience.
