Pura Vida Mini Hostel - Manuel Antonio

Can definitely recommend this nice Hostel, we stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Quepos and the National Park and it was perfect.

The manager was so helpful in finding beautiful beaches along the coast and also helping buying the tickets for the national park online, before going there! Such a nice guy. In general all the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hostel is close to the center and only 15 minutes by walking! Taking the bus to the national park is just on the opposite side of the road, (only 390 Colon) couldn’t be more simpler.

Bonus: when eating your breakfast in the early morning, you even have the chance to see the monkeys just outside and so close, really amazing.

I arrived at pura vida hostel 8 days ago for one night. I was welcomed so warm hearted and I felt right away at home. I took a private room with a private bathroom on the top floor where the entrance to the room is aswell a balcony with a breathtaking view of the jungle and mountains. You can go downstairs to the public room with a kitchen where you can prepare your own coffee or food aswell there is a big refrigerator. I would sit upstairs with my coffee and enjoy the view. Aswell downstairs in the mutual lobby there is a TV and enough space to sit inside at the table and eat or even another balcony where you can just sit or eat aswell. The owners are soooo friendly and so very very helpful and they will even give you ideas where to go or help you out with your needs ❤. The location is so convenient that you can walk to the city of Quepos, no need for any transportation. You have restaurants, stores, bars, banks, hairdresser etc. etc. aaaand the bus terminal where you can take busses all over. I recommend to stay at the hostel like I did and take every day a day trip and come back home in the evening. Most nearby places of 1 to 1,5 hours busride are not so attractive to stay overnight. So I preferred to come back every night and that was perfect. I came for 1 night and ended up staying 8 nights. I felt like family. You have aswell right in front of the hostel the bus to Manuel Antonio Beach and national park like every 15 minutes and the ride takes 15 minutes too to Manuel Antonio, to Quepos 5 minutes. If you need help with laundry, aswell no problem, they will wash and dry it withing to 2 hours and the price is by kilograms, it's a very good price. I didn't want to leave today because I have enjoyed it so much, but I am definitely coming back and looking forward to be there soon again. Thank you. Just make sure when you stay here you become exhausted enough from the day, to sleep and dont notice the cars and motorbikes going by. Great kitchen space and very comfortable pillows some of the best ive ever had in a hostal. Hot water shower also good.

Beautiful hostel, great rooms, amazingly helpful & kind owners and staff. Bus is right across the street and also walking distanfe into Quepos (about 5 minutes!). Would certainly stay again.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. Its very peaceful, clean, and surrounded by nature. The owner is very welcoming and gives great pointers and recommendations, as well as help with booking tours. We felt right at home. I definitely recommend this place.

The place is honestly not very beautiful but it is still one of the most comfortable place we've been in Costa Rica. The rooms are great. The common area is full of playing games and the hosts are very kind. The common kitchen is very great, clean and you'll find all the kitchenware you need. I think it is well located since you can walk easily to downtown Quepos and buy everything you need and there's a bus stop (530 colones) in front of the hostel to reach Manuel Antonio. PS: Ask the host the path to reach the secret waterfall! It's beautiful, isolated (calm) and fun.

Nice hostel in a good location. But the best thing about it is the staff. Everyone gave us plenty of advice on what to do in Manuel Antonio. One in the staff, Daniel also gave us plenty of advice on other parts of Costa Rica. Also Daniel went out of his way to help me when I, a typical forgetful tourist, managed to leave my ebook behind. So we'll, big thanks to him for making my life easier.

This is a really nice hostel to socialize. The owners are relaxed and helpful. Kitchen is well equipped and you are not far from the restaurants in Quepos. The public bus passes right in front of the hostel several times an hour so you can quickly go to Parque Manuel Antonio and the beach. Definitely recommend.

This was a great hostel, and I would recommend it. It was great to meet so many people from around the world. I especially loved the staff at the hostel. Mauricio and Caleb were super friendly and helpful! They even took us out dancing one night. :)

A very clean, tranquille place to rest ! The host is very congenial and helpfull. The hostel is a fine fit for any traveller..is close to many places of interests; and have staff of many languades to help you enjoy this great place in a great setting. A for sure return visit is on my calendar ! Thanks !

Just what you would expect from a hostel. Hosts are very welcoming and friendly. The hostel is in a great location for travelers: between Quepos and Manuel Antonio. There is internet and the basic necessities. If you're looking for a place for a couple nights, here is reasonably priced and centrally located.

Very nice place. Location keeps you active as you need to walk into town. Owner goes out of his way to make your stay Very comfortable .

The place is really nice because it is surrounded by nature. Also the new owners are really friendly and helpful! 12$ with breakfast included is a great deal!!!

Not such a bad place, was clean and comfortable. The owner was nice and the only downside was that there was no soap in the bathroom

It was great... Very very clean... Facilities were in excellent conditions... People at reception were so kind and nice... A have not complain at all about this hostel...
