La cabañita de cedro

If you're looking for a vacation that doesn't cry tourism this is the place. I heard there were plans to build a big hotel in the nearby village, but I hope it doesn't come to that.
This place is a raw, uncut gem: The cabañita itself is made entirely of if cedar wood (as is the neighbors'). The host has arrangements with some neighbors and everyone is very welcoming. We ended up having a home cooked meal for dinner, did a horse ride through the mountains with amazing views and also tried some rafting in old tires which was a lot of fun once you got the hang of it.
This is how tourism should be like: you get to experience the area, get in contact with some locals, while not disrupting too much and still achieving some positive impact for everyone around. I would come back anytime!

Booked on airbnb, we loved this place so much we went back. The cedar cabin is well situated for rest and ease. The sunsets, rainbows, birds, animals, views are stunning.

All future guests will both appreciate and respect the land and area! Make sure to take part in as many local Experiences as possible (speaking Spanish is the best way to relate and enjoy all there is to learn)— eat Doña Hilda’s food, take a horseback ride with Don Carlos, ask neighbor Kattia about buying handmade Wooden art from her husband, eat at the local sodas (small restaurants), and more. 45 minutes to Rio Celeste, 25 min to Heliconias hanging bridges, buy souvenirs from Tocos Souvenirs next to Pizzeria El Barrigon. Ask Kattia for any and all recommendations, this was an unforgettable

Comfortable place with an amazing view! A 4x4 would be better to enter but a normal car should be good as well.

Rilassante!! Adatto per chi vuole scappare dalla frenesia delle città. Appartamento completo di tutto. Il posteggio per l'auto si trova al di sotto della veranda. Hernan prima di arrivare vi darà tutte le indicazioni. Adatto anche per famiglie visto che son presenti 5 posti letto. È possibile organizzare gite a cavallo. E se non avete voglia di cucinare la vicina potrà preparare sia la colazione che la cena.

Wunderschöner Ort, der zum Verweilen einlädt. Austattung für Selbstversorger vorhanden, die Nachbarn unterstützen aber gerne mit Mahlzeiten.
