Hotel Guadalupe

Hotel Guadalupe is both a nice hotel and a pleasing cafe/restaurant. We stayed a couple nights (~$100/night) in a room with 4 beds, The room was comfortable, and the location was central to everything in town. They had a ping pong table and a pool, good for the kids. There's a parking lot which they close off at night for security. We also frequented the restaurant because it's so convenient and comfortable, and has an extensive menu. We had breakfast ($10/person), lunch ($15/person), and dinner ($15/person) here. We were impressed at the versatility of the kitchen, and most of the servers were kind and attentive. Overall, Hotel Guadalupe is an excellent mid-range hotel and restaurant -- neither budget nor luxurious, this place strikes the balance to give you a relaxing and comfortable experience. Tilaran is a nice town to stay for a spell.

The Guadalupe is our go-to restaurant when my wife and I visit Tilaran. We are grateful to our outstanding realtor Maureen Ugalde for introducing us to the excellent food, service and atmosphere at the Guadalupe.

I went to eat at the restaurant. On Thursday's they have a special soup that is very delicious. They provide WIFI to customers. The bathrooms are clean & staff can understand English (a bit)
The bake goods are made by a local woman. They are fresh & delicious.
The only thing negative is that they cook all meals with margarine not butter. So if you ask for bread that is NOT butter on your toast.

Came for the restaurant food is very good and the attention to detail is nice. Chifrijo is delicious. The fried plantains is also extremely delicious. They serve their beer in frosty mugs which is great. Menu is quite large and everything is good!

Came on a two day real estate tour of the lake. Trip inc. 1 nite stay here,came back after seeing La Fortuna. Stayed here a week looking at homes and lots. Staff, service and food are amazing. Fell in love with area/ people and praying I can buy a lake lot my wonderful agent Maureen found for me.

Basic but extremely clean and safe hotel. The rooms are impeccable and silent. You don't really need anything else for a good night's sleep. But what really stands out in this place is the restaurant. The food is simply fabulous. It is easily the best restaurant in Guanacaste province. This first-class restaurant is complemented by a wonderful ambience and service. Eating here was the best experience in years. If your trip includes visiting La Fortuna, Arenal volcano and Arenal lake and surroundings, make sure to stop in Tilaran. Stay and eat at Hotel Guadalupe. You won't regret it.

Coffee was excellent (Britt tueste oscuro), I think the service was very good, my breakfast was exactly what I wanted. I live in Tilaran and will be back again.

La experiencia fue excelente, la atención las habitaciones, el personal muy amable rescato a Don Enrique que atención y que servicio excepcional, recomendado y volvería sin pensarlo, además está super cerca de todo.

Recomendada la comida. Delicioso y a buen precio. Pero si quieres peobar un queque tradicional de fiesta; aquí encuentras uno delicioso, este lugar está super recomendado.

Bueno nuestra experiencia fue en el restaurante...... es un hotel pequeño pero el Restaurante es abierto al público....... es muy rico muy gentil el personal ..... los precios están bien según las porciones, sin duda volvería!!!

La comida de el desayuno, almuerzo, café y cena es demasiado buena, el Hotel- Restaurante tiene una muy buena ubicación y la atención es muy buena

Nos alojamos 2 noches, el servicio al cliente de parte de Enrique y su equipo de colaboradores es invaluable. La comida es muy buena y con respecto a la cantidad precio está muy bien.
Las habitaciones son acogedoras y muy limpias. Está a 25 minutos del lago.
