Amazing, down-to-earth, unique experience. This is a big, beautiful garden full of exotic plants and trees. Michelle is so warm and kind and welcomed me with freshly grown pineapple, coco and a drink. We walked and talked for over two hours and I learned so much! Michelle is so interesting and super intelligent.

The google maps location is correct. It’s about 3km up from the main road. It is a rough dirt road but you can get a cab or if you have a good scooter you’ll be grand!

Highly recommended! If you are looking for an authentic garden/jungle visit, this is the place to go. Michelle and Dennis are very friendly and mindful people. They showed us around the garden and we could taste many of the plants and fruits. The wildlife is amazing, we saw frogs, hummingbirds and could hear the monkeys. I contacted them via google chat and they answered in no-time. Google maps location is correct. Bring moskito spray or long cloths. Thanks for the experience.

We visited the garden in early January and had a great tour there. This is a large private garden of a Dutch couple that has been living in Costa Rican jungle for years. It was a pleasure to meet them, enjoy some tea together, walk around and hear about local plants and their uses. We came there by bicycles from Cocles Beach and it was quite a strenuous ride / push up the hills through beautiful jungle. Just make sure to have enough water and snacks as it might take a while :) We arranged the meeting time a couple of days beforehand through whatsapp, the info was available on the website linked here. The communication was smooth, just keep in mind that there might be no connection in the jungle on your way there, in case you need to update your arrival time or ask for directions.

Magical garden / jungle visit! It was so lovely to walk around with Michelle & Dennis, who are very friendly and have a lot of knowledge of what they do. We got to taste many of the plants and exotic fruits. I finally had a chance to see a vanilla plant! We highly recommended this visit. Miri & Dani

Het was ontzettend leerzaam en gezellig om door onze landgenote Michelle rondgeleid te worden in hun prachtige botanische tuin! Zij en haar man hebben bijzonder veel kennis over de flora en fauna van Costa Rica en delen dit met passie en enthousiasme!
Zeker een aanrader om een bezoek te brengen aan dit authentieke stukje paradijs verscholen in de jungle!! ❤

Wunderbarer Ort. Ein holländisches Paar hat sich hier ein ökologisches Refugium an essbaren und heilsamen Pflanzen geschaffen. Sehr freundliche Menschen, die uns viel Interessanntes über die Natur erzählten und zeigten.

Precioso lugar

We were not really aure what this was but it sounded interesting so turned up ina car at the centre on a Saturday at 10am.

Entrance through an unsuspecting garden gate off unsignposted side road. Google has correct location.

The lady offer a tour for hours of various plants (i understood as medicinal and edible) for 10000 colones per person.
Despite the times on the website (opens 10am) and the unanswered whatsapp contact on the website (picture of an asian gentleman), she said return tomorrow at 7.30. (July 2023)

We had to give back the car so couldnt. I enquired (via new google chat function) and had a reply, that one could get there via public transport to puerto viejo, then puerto viejo to sixola, then a walk (30mins) from sixola. Not going to happen with a child by 7.30 sadly.

We would like to visit but tuk tuks only go up this road for $35 so
