Higuerón - Rooftop Tent Campground

Camp hosts were very genuine and nice. The campground is clean and open. There is an amazing view of the hills and the towns that reside on the mountain sides. There was firewood in the fire pit ready to burn and they have bathrooms. About a 12 minute drive from the town of Monteverde. I highly recommend this campground for travelers with small/medium sized over-landing vehicles.

5 out of 5! Can really recommend the place. The view is beautiful and the owner is an incredible man, he's very attentive and rushed to help us out when our dead car battery needed a kickstart - all with the biggest smile. There's leveled spots for about 6 cars. Bathrooms were actually kind of fancy and also clean. Entrance is the gate next to the activities building/reception.

Great place to pitch up if you’re rooftop tenting. Views are amazing and the sunset is great. There are 2 separate toilet/shower rooms and they are both brand new and spotless. It does get quite windy in the night here based on where it is, but if you park further in the trees you should have less of an issue. It’s up a very steep and rough track, you will definitely need a truck with 4wd. Also connected to it are trails leading down to the waterfall. If you’re renting a truck from Nomad America this is a must visit!
Top tip on finding it: there’s a thin metal gate (orange if I remember) that is next to the ecologica place, that is the entrance

Super nice and quiet place to camp with a magical view. The owners welcomed us very friendly and were super helpful and engaged. Sanitary facilities are new and well maintained. Nice fireplace that you don't often have. We felt very comfortable and can recommend it. Thanks guys!

Nous avions une vue de dingue dans ce camping tout en hauteur de Monteverde.
Le propriétaire super sympa et souriant.
Le gros plus était d’avoir des sanitaires flambants ainsi que de l’eau chaude !
Pour le soir, du bois à disposition pour allumer un feu. On a fait plusieurs camping au Costa Rica mais celui ci reste notre coup de cœur ! Belle continuation à vous et Pura Vida

On a dormi une nuit dans ce camping et c'était incroyable. La vue est magnifique et les personnes qui s'occupent de nous sont extrêmement gentilles. Il y a de quoi faire un petit feu, la salle de bain est très spacieuse, la douche est chaude et tout est bien entretenu.
Je recommande vraiment cet endroit aux personnes qui ont un 4x4 avec tente !

We vinden deze plek bij toeval en vonden het geweldig! Wat een plek en wat een uitzicht. De ontvangst was zeer gastvrij en super vriendelijk. Heerlijk warme douche mooie firepit en prachtige zonsondergang.
Ook goed restaurant op loopafstand. Op de property kan je ook een mooie canyoning tocht maken. Uiteindelijk 3 nachten gebleven.
