Restaurante Café Laurent

Our meal was excellent with fresh ingredients and wonderful tastes. From the soup through appetizers and main course. Dessert of ice cream and pastry were flavorful and just the right portions. Wonderful coffee after the meal brought the whole experience to a pleasant conclusion.

Beautiful classy paladar apparently recommended by Anthony Bourdain. Has great service with someone to point the way downstairs and elevator attendant. The restaurant has a great open layout and is very breezy even during the hottest days. The food was delicious and flavorful, perhaps the best paladar food we’d had on this trip.

Excellent restaurant recommended by the concierge. Top floor of a residential building with water views and sweeping view of neighborhood. Lunch was delicious and moderate in price. Pity they only have limited number of many of the dishes.

If you stay at the nacional hotel or in the nearby area, you certainly should put this restaurant on your list of good options... really nice food, we got fish and the dessert suggested by the staff and we were all very happy with it... reasonable price and a great service by nice and friendly staff who speaks great english too! Really good choice!

Love this place a lot. Within walking distance from Hotel Nacional. Contemporary decor, staff was lovely and the food was amazing. Grab a seat by the balcony to enjoy the sun and watch the cars go by. Its noted as one of my favourite in Havana. The restaurant can be reached in its retro life or by stairs. I suggest the lift as I love taking in the old newspaper clippings.

Lovely 5 storey walk up restaurant with first rate views. Food was great (skip the sword fish). Staff was lovely and food was delicious. Has a tasty cold carrot and squash soup. Full bar.

Just wow. We we searching for an opportunity for lunch in that area and our travel guide recommended Café Laurent. Thankfully! The view from the terrace is great, the temperature is great as well, even when it's very hot outside. Food was great, people very nice. It's not so easy to find, but there is a guy outside that will lead you in. Another fantastic restaurant in Havana if you know it. Great Mojitos as well :) Thank you!

One of the best meals we had in Havana. Tuna empanadas were outstanding! Very surprising.

Had the fish with green salsa. It was really good. Also had the chocolate brownie which was good as well. Most dishes are 15-20 CUP.

Lovely view of the city and great customer service. I recommend going for lunch or early dinner since at night you can't appreciate the views that well.

Very nice terrace to have dinner with main plates for everyone being very delicious. Also an elevator to take you up the few levels. Current rate being offered on exchange was 160cup to 1usd.

Best dinner in Havana! Food is delicious, staff members are welcoming, and the atmosphere is that of a 5 star restaurant. Not only is the view breathtaking, the live musician/musicians are incredible. Many guide books say Cafe Laurent is hard to find, but it is easily visible while walking. A definite must-visit restaurant!

Wow.. Wish i found this on my FIRST day, not Last, in La Habana. Everything was stellar. Food was really good, service good. it was a pinch more than other places, but worth it. We had a hard to please group of six and everyone left full and pleased (first meal to do this in a week). Go here. you won't regret it. Also, top floor with panoramic view. NIce in every regard...

One of the nicest dinners I had in 3 weeks in Cuba. Food is good, staff is nice, view is spectacular. Large number of waitresses that seem to lack coordination, so you can get up to 5 different waitresses at your table on one night. This could be the cause of the somewhat slow service.

Some of the best food in Cuba: if you're staying in a nearby hotel, skip the in-house restaurant and visit Care Laurent. This is the best meal I had in Cuba. The staff are friendly and attentive, the ambience is clean and relaxed. The food is well executed Cuban fair.

Shrimp in oil was perfect and so were the tacos for starters.
I highly recommend this place.
It is on top floor of a beautiful old building and the sunset is stunning.

Upscale restaurant with great view of Old Havana. An attract escorts you up the 50s style elevator into a beautiful restaurant with 4 separate rooms. I recommend a spot outside overlooking the water if it's available.

Such a cool slice of the city - from the retro lift up to the top-floor all-white deco apartment and breezy balcony dining area, delicious mojitos and delicate seafood dishes. Highly recommended!
