An innovative design building on previous architectural exploits seen in stairless buildings and the first commissioned project of big group - this building is a must see. Yet I don’t know , it felt eerie and suicide prone. It would improve so much with 5 convenience stores and a tapas bar sprinkled among the apartments though.

A must see in Copenhagen. Located in Ørestad at the southern border of the city, 8 Tallet by BIG is one of the biggest residential project in Denmark. With 2 sloping green roofs totaling 1700 m2, it has been awarded as “Best Green Roof in Scandinavia”. Please respect the residents and the public spaces when you visit.

Its a nice concept building for green energy and sustainable urban living. There is a nice french restaurant with a nice view..very Scandinavian very Danish. Good gateway away from the city.

I would love to live or work in such a beautiful building. I didn't get the chance to eat at the restaurant but the view and building architecture is really stunning. For some reason it reminds me of Lego. There are other buildings nearby that are very pretty and worth taking a few shots too. Also look out for big boss Bertie a huge sculpture that is nearby. I miss the chance to go up on it as it was really cold. Overall good visit to a beautiful residential area.

One of the most beautiful building I have seen. The design of the building looks just amazing. It looks like the building is from the future. It is not just a residential place. But it also houses offices, a small food store and a cafe!!

8TALLET is the largest residential building in Denmark. The shape of BIG House is based on traditional blocks of buildings, but it is turned and twisted so that the building looks like a large infinity sign from above. There is a 1.5-kilometre-long path that runs around the entire perimeter of the building.

The 'bow' of the building creates two inner courtyards separated at the point where the two loops meet. This intersection contains the communal facilities, with a floor area of 500 m2. The centre is also intersected by a nine metre wide passage that connects the urban spaces on either side of the building: the park to the west and the canal area to the east.

The building's two primary functions - residential and commercial - are separated by floor, with residential facilities located on the upper levels and the commercial facilities in the base of the building. According to the architects, this gives each individual level a unique character: the housing units benefit from optimum light, air and views, and the commercial facilities are in contact with the activities taking place at street level. This principle is reinforced in the design of the building, which is 'lifted' in the north-east corner and 'pressed down' to the south-east, to let light into the courtyard.

A beautiful example of modern Danish design. A must do walk around the outside with 900m worth of stairs up and down and lovely views over the fields.

Quite impressive form of the building and a nice neighborhood

Amazing building experience, you can climb on it ( careful for the locals ) and enjoy "Le bout du Monde" at the cafe / restaurant at the end.
