Helnan Marselis Hotel

Absolutely stunning views out to sea. The beach is right outside and from the ground floor rooms you can walk straight to the sand and into the sea. Great spot for running, both along the beach and along the pavements to the town. Breakfast is busy but all the food is fresh and tasty. The evening meal was the 'Summer Buffet' and although a little pricey, it was excellent. All of the staff are very helpful and welcoming. Couldn't ask for more. I'm here for work, but I'm already planning a return visit with my other half.

Beds were exceptionally comfortable- as a set point we’ve over the years stayed what amounts to ~8 years plus in hotel rooms.

A beautiful hotel with very nice rooms. Our room had sea view and we could enjoy it from our balcony.

The swimming pool was nice, after a long day of walking.

Great distance from the centre of Aarhus, and when you like to hike this is a great place to visit.

Very spacious room with an amazing view at the sea. Depending on which room you get some walking may be required as the corridor is very long. However, WLAN was fast and stable even in the most distant room.

The breakfast offered everything one may expect without any big surprises. I was delighted to find proper bread and plenty of cheese.

The staff was always friendly and helpful.

The hotel is close to the park and harbor but getting into the city where most of the restaurants are located will require some walking.

Excellent stay for one night! The extra bed was already placed in our room, the view was great, and the it had an English breakfast topped with Danish pastries, fruits and more. The only downsides were that condiments weren't readily available (ketchup and so forth), and the extra bed was a little on the hard side. But the great personnel easily made up for that!

Beautiful and Clean rooms with a peaceful experience.. Rooms with a great sea view and glass doors that can be slide open to walk into the beach straight from the room!

Perfect and the most romantic time with husband well spent here. Thanks to the hotel staff and the tasty breakfast.

We where on business trip here. Nice hotel and we got lucky to have a room at the side of the sea, what a view!!! (see picture, sunrise)

Breakfast here was very good, a lot of things to choose from. A bit English breakfast style.

One night we ate at the restaurant of the hotel, this was also very good!! We order from the menu and all was well prepared.

Only stayed one night. For the same cost as a cheap Copenhagen hotel, I had a great room with a fantastic view over the sea. Breakfast was a familiar buffet arrangement. All the staff I met were very helpful.

Have to give full five despite slightly slow service in the restaurant on the day of departure (then again, it was really quiet between lunch and dinner). Great service overall, neat rooms, comfy beds, we got great seaview upgrade for free, complimentary coffee in the afternoon, great parks and beach right next to it.

The Helnan Marselis Hotel is located next to the beach, a bit outside of town. It has a wonderful view on the sea and its decor is very homey but still luxurious. The room was spacious and the beds very comfortable. They had a sauna and swimming pool area open until late which was great to relax after a day of sightseeing. The staff was also very polite and accomodating. Overall i would definitely recommend it!

Beautiful location at the edge of Marselis forest and overlooking the bay of Aarhus. It is an ideal venue for events and has ample rooms for overnight stay. You can also come here for some afternoon tea or dinner after a walk on the beach or around town. Lots of parking available. For those who require easy access, this place has its restaurant, cafe/bar and toilets on the ground floor.

One of my favorite parks in the world. Simply a beautiful large park overlooking the sea with the backdrop of the Queen's Summer house. This is a great place for a picnic, having a glass of wine, or just taking a walk.
There is a wonderful WWI monument in the center of the park honoring fallen Danish soldiers. This park also has a "hidden" garden to the left side of it (if your back is to the sea).

The best sea view hotel. I saw sun rise from my bed. There are free coffee, water, fruits, cakes and variety teas available on my floor.
I stayed this hotel twice, and I surely stay in my next trip.

Love this hotel. Stayed there for 2 times. All the rooms have fantastic view to Aarhus Bay. Nice and cozy interior, always quite, swimming pool with great view. Good place to stay for a weekend.

We stayed here for over a month for work! when you stay somewhere for that long you get bored or just fedup.. but this is somewhere we all felt at home.. that was not because of the rooms (much larger than any-other hotel in Denmark) or views (room facing the sea) or food (tasty sandwiches) or the conference facilities ( that we used for 20 out of 24 hrs almost each day) or free cake and coffee (dnt know how many we had per day had put on 5 kgs in that trip). It was the staff, so helpful and genuine. Always a smile on face. Each member knew the whole team’s name and were always helping.. every time i go back, whether i stay or not i get a hug from the team at the reception. The thing is they still remember!!

Lovely hotel wonderful views of the ocean with beautiful sunrises. Could do with a little update on the restaurant setting. Nice and clean small swimming pool Otherwise clean and happy stay. 😊

Reception was nice and helpful. The hotel seemed to be in a quiet neighborhood, and close to the beach. I just stopped by for a few minutes, so I can't be to more help.
