We did our wedding pictures here. Fantastic. The restaurant next door is great too. I suggest checking the tides. The stairs to the beach are not for the faint of heart.

Very interesting to look around. Stairs down to the beach to the right of the old church. Pretty steep, so no point to try if you have any leg problems. The sand/ gravel at the beachbis very uneven. Bringing a stroller for a Child is also no point. Have good shoes, Mountain boots or similar.

If you don't need to go to the Beach there is a very nice walking path at the top of the kliff, with several great lookout points.

Beautiful place with interesting history. Not only church but also memorial of British pilots. Many reasons to visit!

Stevns Klint deserves an unequivocal five-star rating. It may not rival the height of Mons Klint, but its own beauty is undeniable. This remarkable destination offers breathtaking cliffs, a charming church, a majestic lighthouse, a fun playground, clean toilets, and picturesque nature walks. Amidst the negative reviews, it's important to remember that different does not mean bad. Stevns Klint exudes tranquility, providing a serene escape into a captivating world of rugged cliffs and untouched natural wonders. Appreciate its unique allure, immerse yourself in its history, and let it leave an indelible mark on your heart.

Beautiful area for a quick day trip to a UNESCO World Heritage site. There is an old church that you can explore before heading down some steep steps to see the cliff. FYI: The beach is currently closed for some work. This is a chalk cliff and one of the sites where you can see the geologic historical record (a strip of dark gray rock in between the lighter rock) of the meteor impact that caused the extinction of the dinosaurs. There is a large open field where you can picnic (there are some picnic tables), a park for children to play, and a small restaurant for a quick drink, bite, or treat. Parking is 40 krone. If you like nature and the outdoors, this is a place for you.

Fantastic experience!
Summary points:

1. Great church on the edge of the cliff, walk all the way to the end and right for a splendid view from the balcony

2. Binoculars mounted on the cliff edge just outside the church. Pleased to see they were fully functional

3. Head down the stairs to the water/rocks/beach. Note there is a big section of the stairs that is metal (cold/Slippery at times). Also the stairs are pretty steep. But not as tiring as the walk down fork Mons Klint (not even 5% of that).

4. Parking is 40DKK (payment at the parking machine just behind the barrier you enter from) and plenty of spaces.

5. Toilets available just walking distance from the parking.

Beautiful "klint", beach, and old church on the edge. Getting down, back up and traversing the beach is not handicap friendly, but worth it if you have the ability and agility.

Very well preserved church from the middle ages and with a sad history of altar part falling down the sliding cliff. The place is a one to visit for a beautiful walk by the cliff edge to the lighthouse.

One of the best natural heritage site in Denmark. Down at the Beach, it is exciting to see all the smooth surfaced and round stones. The cliff is made of chalk stone. Kids love to pick up the chalk stones and write on everything they find around. Ocean view is as udual great and pleasant like in any other veaches in Denmark. Never disappointing. Bridge between the cliff and the beach is the steep stairs. Very adventurous. Besides this there is a church for history lovers. And remember to visit the light house. You will love it.

A beautiful spot, gorgeous cliffs. If you consider to fligh a drone to capture it in all it's splendor i'm afraid i have some bad news, it is forbidden due to wildlife so no point trying carrying it with you. 😭

I saw the UNESCO Heritage sign on the way from Gedser to Malmo, so I made a stop at the rest area and googled to find that Stevns Clint is where geologist Walter Alveraz found asteroid evidence in the layers of white cliff theorized the Big Impact theory, which offered exceptional evidence of the impact of the Chicxulub meteorite that crashed into the earth at the end of the Cretaceous, about 65 million years ago. Researchers think that this caused the most remarkable mass extinction ever, responsible for the disappearance of dinosaurs and of over 50 percent of all life on Earth. I was so lucky to have about 2 hours to explore the site before sunset. Had I drove past the area one day ago, I probably would have skipped this side trip due to darkness! Cheers!
