Proton Records

As someone whose been to countless record shops, proton stole my heart away! One of the very shops I think that captures a proper raver vibe. And with huge focus on local producers with Schacke tapes and heavy trance cds. Local merch as well that are hard to find elsewhere . And records from posh isolation amongst others. Scandi- Tech section really showcased regional talent amongst Copenhagen and beyond to nearby Sweden. Really impressed me and felt organic. The shop also has other genres and really great horn soundsystem that was unique. Tons of local posters of shows and raves were all over the walls. This shop is for the heads much like Detroit threads in Michigan and NYC’s lovely A1 records. I picked up over $200 of records and cds! My girlfriend had to cut me off after hour 😈.

A great selection of ambient, trance, jazz and experimental records and seems to be more of a hangout spot (in a good way) for people into this stuff. Would recommend.

Shop owner was lovely to chat with and had tons of knowledge and great recommendations. Good spot for more abstract outsider genres with a solid selection of clubby stuff. 10/10 would go recommend.

Most probably the greatest record store I've ever visited. It's a vibe: small and cozy interior, super kind and helpful staff members, deep and carefully curated electronic music selection. Although I didn't end up buying anything because I barely knew some of the artists represented in the shop, I took many photos of records which seemed to be interesting thanks to the really helpful description labels on them (every single record has one). I've been discovering new favourites ever since. You're also able to sneak peek into records via the most amazing turntable-headphones setups I've so far got my ears into at a vinyl store (clear overall sound plus awesome bass, good noise isolation).

Dette er stedet hvis kosmiske rytmer på vinyl taler til dig! Jeg var slightly udenfor min comfort zone som gammelt rock-dyr, men stadig godt underholdt. Der var venlig og hjælpsom betjening. Og på samtlige plader er der en lille label med butikkens egen beskrivelse af musikken - så selv jeg var ikke helt lost! Også 2 lækre selvbetjente lyttestationer.

Een van de beste plekken voor de muziek liefhebber. Een breed scala aan genre’s en oude en nieuwe releases. Goed voor je last minute club finds of diepe dub platen voor thuis op de bank. Fantastisch !

Det er et af de steder man kun kan blive begejstret for at besøge. Godt udvalg af elektronisk musik og personalet er søde, venlige og altid klar på at vejlede en. Hvis man bare har en smule interesse for elektronisk musik er stedet værd.
