Gran Jimenoa Hotel

We came here on April for our honeymoon, they arranged the towels nicely and put some roses which was a nice surprise.
Hotel is very nice, located on a beautiful lake. They have a bridge over and some paths to walk along, beautiful.
We came with a car so like 5 min away from the main town.
Only thing we had a problem with - only a few of the staff knew any English.
Ohhh and pool wasn’t clean, poor lady cleaned it 5 times a day but was windy and leafs kept falling in.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Gran Jimenoa and I can't express enough how satisfied I was with my experience. From the moment I arrived until the day of my departure, the hotel provided an exceptional level of service and made my stay truly memorable.

From the front desk personnel to the housekeeping staff, everyone was friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. They were always available to assist with any inquiries or requests, making me feel like a valued guest throughout my stay.

In my frequent travels to Jarabacoa for humanitarian work, I’ve stayed at a number of hotels, but the Gran Jimenoa Hotel is my favorite. When given a choice, I’ll always choose the Gran Jimenoa Hotel.

What an amazing and peaceful place! I just wanted a place to relax and enjoy nature in all its splendor. This place checks all those boxes. So beautiful and quiet, with just the sound of the river and the birds in great harmony. Just slow down and take it all in! Kudos to the staff for such a great job - keep it up guys!

We really enjoyed our stay at his lovely resort. The service was excellent and the staff so very friendly and helpful.
The grounds are beautifully kept, and the river is always flowing with cool water and beautiful sound.

Joseph in the restaurant was outstanding, attentive, friendly and conversational. The rooms are very small compared to what we're used to in the US. If you book excursions plan to have Dominican Pesos because the vendors dont take credit cards. The paragliding (parapente) and four wheeling were spectacular. I just l8ve the sound of the river. The staff speak some English but throughout DR we found the Wooask offline app perfect to communicate with everyone. It's awesome that the voice recognition works both ways. everyone is happy to help with pronunciation and loved when we at least tried to speak the language. The sound of the river is so relaxing.

The location is excellent, right next to the river. It's a little pricey but is worth it. I did not want to go back to the States.

My first time in Dominican Republic and this was our choice of Hotel. Beyond our expectations, the customer service was professional, the housekeeping on point and very nice. The food was enjoyable. The view was amazing. Will come back again soon.

Hotel is pretty great, really nice achitecture and the river is so lovely and enjoyable. They have a restaurant in the premises, can be a bit hit-or-miss but well cooked when it’s a hit. Rooms are nice, could be better but the beds are SO comfortable!! Totally worth every minute and penny!

This hotel is beautiful, filled with many aspects of our typical decorations, furnishing, lush scenery with many tropical trees, a beautiful river and mountains surrounding it. And the service is excellent! And amazing experience! I do recommend this hotel if you are looking to relax and enjoy nature, and also if you want to spend some romantic time with someone special..

Fantastic hidden gem! Only spent a night, but the room, pool area, restaurant, and grounds exceeded any expectations we had. Great place to stay if you're looking for a central place to take trips to the area waterfalls and sights.

Beautiful location! The hotel was big which I was surprised by. . Directly on the river which was wonderful, I liked this place a lot. The breakfast was great, staff were friendly and polite. Accommodations were simple but perfect for the getaway. AC worked very well, hot water. Very romantic and peaceful ambience. I would reccomend !

Spent a few days here and I have to say that even though when I first got there I didn't like the fact that the rooms were a little tight and the wifi didn't work inside the room and some other spots of the area, I ended up liking the surrounding and unique views of this hotel. Employees were nice and helpful. I would definitely go back.

This Colonial-style hotel sits majestically in a sprawling, park-like setting adjacent to the Jimenoa River, which literally runs through the property. The dining area overlooks the river, and a bridge connects both sides, with a bar and gazebo on the opposite shore.
Jarabacoa is in the Dominican Republic’s Central Highlands, withing striking distance of Pico Duarte, the tallest peak in the Caribbean. The climate is much cooler than the coasts. Activities here include hiking and whitewater rafting. This region is well worth a place on your D.R. itinerary
The ambiance here is magical. A tree grows through the center of the dining room, the tall hills serving as background with cows grazing picturesquely. The river creates a constant, soothing “white noise.” If you didn’t know better, you might think you were in the Alps, Colorado, or the U.S. Pacific Northwest.
The rooms are small-ish but very comfortable (be sure to ask for a river view). The food in the dining room is excellent. It was so good we skipped driving all the way across town our last night and enjoyed the evening in the outdoor eating area.
Children will adore this property. The rustic buildings on both sides of the river have a treehouse appearance, and in the morning, herders lead beautiful cattle through the stream on their way to grazing. I would definitely stay here again.

My daughter just had her wedding in the D.R. and guests stayed at the Gran Jimenoa Hotel and had a memorable experience. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable with great room service. The grounds were beautiful and well cared for with all it lush vegetation and scenic views, especially near the river. We would recommend this hotel highly to anyone without hesitation.
One suggestion is to have more than one water purifiying dispenser placed by each section building on the premises for visitors, espeically from the U.S., to have access to on hot days.

Excellent, peaceful. If you get a room with a river view and you sit in the balcony you can hear the birds and the water flowing it is spectacular. Thank you God for such a beautiful earth. The glory and the honor to the Lord.

A really good place for peace and quiet. Reasonable prices for stay and food. Kind service. The creek directly at the hotel is a really good refresher.
