River Las Bellenas

Love this place. Great for chillen out and sitting by the river. Definitely a unique place here in Las Terrenas. There are many bars and restaurants near by too. Enjoy the tranquility and travel to a secret beach about 100 meters west. Just remember don’t pee in any rivers or lakes anywhere! Theoretically a parasite or something can swim up inside you and you will have a very bad day. Pee in the ocean that’s ok just stay far away from me.

This is a beautiful river where it meets the ocean. You could swim in freshwater or in saltwater. If you go in the afternoon the river will be in the shade. There is also a shady spot to swim in the ocean where the river meets the ocean as there are a lot of rocks and trees there if you go also in the afternoon. This river is a great little place to bring kids, it’s not too deep. Just make sure you keep an eye on them. There are many restaurants here in the area and there’s one just a few feet away. This river is one of the natural treasures of the area and part of what makes Samana so special.

J’aime cet endroit beau et paisible , la plage las Ballenas pas loin. Joli faune et flore qui sont mise à mal après une journée de pluie. Surtout n’y nagez pas après la pluie ou si l’eau est trouble.
