Cafe Hood

The portion size is huge. I had the pad Thai and could have easily had it over the course of 2 meals but it tasted so good I couldn't put my fork down. They also provide a complimentary bread and dip which was very thoughtful. The lady that works there was very lovely and brought me additional dip which had a good chilli hit to it.

Such an amazing restaurant! Located in the center of Baños and easily reachable while walking through the center. We loved the furniture and the whole arrangement of the restaurant. The food was extremely good, very fresh ingredients and big portions. There is plenty of choice for vegetarians/ vegans and the staff was very lovely. Absolutely recommendable.

Nice menu with good food. Loved the owner Rosa and the Buddha Bowl was amazing. Fantastic value and good vibe. Came back twice! Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our meal at cafe hood. The fruit juice was so tasty and fresh. It provided great views, and a diversity of options if you want to get away from strictly steak and fries for a bit. I had one of the budha bowls they recommended and it was so tasty in unexpected way with local ingredients (mango, quinoa, sautéed vegetables in an eggplant yogurt sauce). Probably wouldn’t get the pad Thai and expect authentic Thai food but it was okay. Overall would go back and recommend. The quality was really good, safe for tourists and a lot of food for your money.

Well know but still delightful relaxed cafe in the quieter part of town. Good broad menu with something for everyone. Good vegan and vegetarian options, friendly staff. Highly recommended

What a fantastic little corner of magic! There are many restaurants in Baños but non come even close to Cafe Hood. First of all Carina and the staff are beautiful souls who treat you with genuine kindness and friendliness which makes you feel at home from the second you step in. The place itself is a dream of coziness and artistic chilled beauty right next to natural thermal pools and a waterfall, if Zen was a place it'd be Cafe Hood❤ And last but definitely not least, the food is amazing! Wholesome and flavourful, ranging from tasty Equadorian Andean dishes to soulful Thai, whatever mood you're in there's something delicious to eat that'll entirely satisfy you! I had one of the amazing, rich and tasty vegetarian options, which was so good I could have just kept eating it all day... Happiness on a plate. Magical.

Very pleasant surroundings, enjoyed the music and the food was lovely I had spaghetti Bolognese, came with parmesan and some garlic bread.

After travelling around Ecuador we were really craving some spice and the food at Cafe Hood really hit the spot! There are mexican, Thai and Indian dishes which are seasoned to perfection. Karina the chef is lovely and the atmosphere is great. Would definitely recommend.

You can’t go wrong with this place!!! Amazing soups ( I ordered the avocado soup), awesome plates! We ordered the curry, enchiladas and chicken plate. We were all very satisfied! Dessert was delicious, we ordered amor caliente!!

I absolutely recommend this place!!! The vibe is amazing, Karina and Ivan are excellent hosts. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options! A most try if you are staying in Baños!

Everything was very good. Service nice and fast. A lot of nice paintings on the walls - relaxing music playing(jazz as we were there) food delicious. When we were there it was pretty crowded - monday 7 PM. We had steak and fish - and both of them were really good.

Food was delicious!, service was friendly and speedy, restaurant was lovely overall.
