Really lovely thin crust pizza with fresh ingredients. Good selection of drinks and good service. Card machine was out of order when we visited so needed to pay in cash

This family owned Italian restaurant makes the best pasta we’ve enjoyed on almost a year and a half of Latin American travel. We’ve eaten here two nights in a row, and are aiming to make tonight our third visit. The pastas are delicate and tender and the sauces are loaded with rich, balanced flavor. We’ve tried almost all the pasta dishes and a pizza and all were spectacular. In Italian fashion, the Ecuadorian cook/owner, Meche, who’s name is not related to the restaurant name, came out and talked with us after our meal. One of her two sons, is studying gastronomy in Spain, but is back for the summer to cook at the restaurant, which is very cool. The pasta dishes are mostly $10.50 and pizzas range from $12 to &18. Well worth it!

Its off main street down a dirt road with a sign that identifies it a Gourmet Avenue.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. A bit pricier than the neighboring restaurants but definitely worth it. The homemade tortellini was one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. The pizza and smoked trout were also excellent. Service was fantastic, too! Would highly recommend for a nicer meal out.

This place was freaking amazing!!! Bomb food and really great quality!! I get it, it may seem pricey, but the quality is really good. If you are from the states, you'd never eat at a US Italian spot again. Thanks for the amazing experience!

I asked for pizza without any cheese and was able to enjoy a crusty pizza with fresh vegetables on top, it was truly delicious. The juices are also great. Highly recommend coming here for lunch when you need a rest and a comfy place.

One of the best Italian meals we have had anywhere in the world. All the food was made fresh, the pesto was bright, and the bechamel was deliciously creamy. We left very full (and it isn’t too expensive!)

Delicious Italian food. The staff was extremely friendly. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is on a cute little street. They have some seating outside so you can do some people watching as well.

Get the gnocchi! For four people we enjoyed two orders of gnocchi and a pizza. Everything was delicious and fresh. We were able to sit outdoors on a rainy night and enjoy the covered patio, it's got a cool ambience and it looks like they're renovating for additional indoor/outdoor options. Definitely give La Mecha a shot if you're in Mindo and looking for a nice place to eat.

We came on Sunday at 1:30 pm and had the tortellini with pesto, carne lasagna, and cannoli. Also a Caesar salad! Everything was amazing especially the bread they brought, rosemary garlic and salt on it. Tasty. The pesto and the lasagna were the favorites. Be prepared to share!!

La Mecha was great. Their gnocchi was great and they serve bread with olive oil and plantain oil which is really special and nice.

The food was very tasty! We enjoyed the vibe and the cozzy feeling. We liked it that much at the first time so we went the next day as well😋

Went there on a Sunday night when the place was meant to be closed according to Google's opening times (don't think they're correct). Unfortunately they were out of pesto that night but we had a delicious arabiata sauce with fresh homemade gnocci and ravioli - both are highly recommended!

Excellent food, very surprised to find this little gem thanks to Google Maps. Five dishes, all excellent. One of the staff even spoke very good excellent English, and all were extremely welcoming. The service was very good, a bit limited on the wine selection.
