One of my usual place to order from. Friendly staff, good food. I really liked previous recipe of napoleon, that was just amazing and big sized with such a fluffy and tender cream, but they changed it for kinda worse one, smaller and not such tasty cream. I wish I could order that wonderful version of napoleon, but place still very good, recommend it.

5-5. Everything was excellent. Food is good, service is nice. Atmosphere occupied with Ararat mountain paints, I would say I found it very artistic :) Thank you for everything.

Naming place with Georgian and Armenian food Cafe Smile might not be the greatest PR decision ever - but it shouldn't stop you from visiting! Food is solid and inside is nice.

Sometimes the daily lunch options sound like something out of a Soviet school kitchen. But whenever I am in doubt and try them, I find myself eating one of the best lunches of that week. Everything on the menu that I've tried has been delicious (especially considering the price) and I do have to say that their lentil soup is the best in Tartu!

This gem of a restauraunt, located a short walk from the main University of Tartu Campus, not only possesses a menu with delicious dishes even students can afford, but also is run by a family who show nothing but the utmost hospitality to all who enter it, reflecting the great heart of the Armenian people. The family running this restauraunt are polyglots, so you can communicate comfortably and fluently in many languages if necessary, including English. The interior is adorned with beautiful paintings of the Armenian landscape and culture, making one feel as if they've been transported to the breathtaking beauty of the Caucasus, and the tables are adorned with handcrafted cloths and other decorations. Every dish that I have tried has been extremely delicious, and my favourites include Khachapuri, and Khashlama. (The Khachapuri and this cafe are even popular among my Georgian colleagues!) To sum up, go!-- this restauraunt/cafe is worth the visit, and every customer leaves glad that they picked the best.

This place offers hearty and healthy meals at a reasonable price. You can get authentic and exciting Armenian specialties from their extensive menu as well as discount lunch deals during the work week that represent good home cooking. The bread you get with your lunch is a highlight in and of itself and the chicken shaurma is the best I have had in Estonia. This is a small family business but service is fast and befittingly warm and friendly for a place called Smile. It is also NOT true that this place is "cash-only". I come here all the time and have never had any problems paying by card.

Based on first impression, you would never think this place is any good. Typically, if the menu is in the form of a picture collage, its going to be a sub par experience, but this place is a genuine undiscovered gem. Its a little off course for the average tourist, but definitely worth looking up. The bread they make in house is superb, the hand made hinkali are to die for and best part is, you can ask for frozen product to take with you and cook at home. I've tried about half their menu and haven't been disappointed yet. Prices are super reasonable too, for what you spend on a main course here might not even get you an appetizer in the nearby hipster quarter (aparaaditehas) or the downtown restaurants/cafés.

Nice Armenian food with a good variety... Not so expensive as well.. Like most of the other restuarants they have a daily meal as well which is way cheaper compared to other places. The quality and the quantity of the food is also amazing...

There are dishes that are very similar to Turkish food. The cheese pita was delicious.I will definitely go again.

It's a small family business, just two rooms of a café, situated by a busy street with not that much pedestrian traffic or tourists. Thus, it is likely not to be noticed by every visitor in town. Yet it is definitely worth visiting for its authentic Armenian cuisine, where everything is fresh and made on the spot. Their menu is long enough to offer something for everyone: if you're a vegan, take a lhachapuri pie or a hot eggplant salad, if you're LCHF, go for chicken-and-walnut satsivi, and if you're in just for a little refreshment, take an Armenian coffee, black and strong, and a little honey-and-walnut pastry called pahlava. I don't know any other place in Tartu which would serve Armenian dessert wines, so you might want to have a sip of a rare thing. They also have daily offers at discount and offer takeaway, which is quite popular.

Today I ate breaded fried chicken as a lunch offer there. That was off the hook and very delicious. This place will be recommended to my friends here on out.
