Luscher & Matiesen Muhu Veinitalu

A very unique place! A beautiful wine yard on a beautiful Muhu island. The wine tasting was interesting and tasty but it was the food that blew me away! Duck and chanterelle pasta were amazing! The food was so good that I forgot to take photos.

There are stairs to the toilets and restaurant if you want to eat inside. Outside terrace was lovely too.

A great place to take a break from the bustle of the city and feel the real atmosphere of the Estonian countryside. The hospitable owner and caring staff made our vacation just amazing! The farm also has a home restaurant. The most important distinguishing feature of this farm is a real winery! This is probably one of the northernmost wineries in Europe, where grapes are grown not in a greenhouse, but in the open air! The farm owner produces the wine himself from the harvesting process to bottling. It's just incredible! With such enthusiasm, I think that the moment when the first Estonian wine region Muhu AOC will be accredited is not far off:) Definitely recommend to stay here at least for a night on your way to Saaremaa.

Absolutely charming place to spend time at. We were there together with the team and enjoyed it to the fullest. The atmosphere, the vibe, the food, the hospitality - everything were just great. And of course the local wine 👌
Would love to be back one day for a weekend getaway.

Unic place with its pure nature, peace. Unbeleaveble for Estonia but the one and only greips plantation is also there! Sauna! Just love it! Want to stay here forever!👍😘

A wonderful place to disappear for a moment from a busy life. Beautiful courtyard and nice staff. We stayed in a lovely penthouse which was really clean and the guests were wonderfully catered for in the room as well.
Saturday’s "rosvopaisti" dinner was an excellent and memorable experience. The Finnish owner of the place was very nice and considerate.

Wonderful place, very relaxing and friendly staff. Highly recommend the 4-course meal (with wine pairing), wine tasting, special sauna and the upgrade to the ‘positive’ room (newly renovated and much nicer). Do not recommend the massage. It was fun to help unearth the lamb that cooks 12 hours underground.

Amazing getaway in the beautiful location of Muhu. We had a pleasure of staying some days, enjoying the food from local ingredients, the sauna and relaxation, and of course the incredible wine. The host was amazing and the stay was perfect. Thanks!

Very highly recommended. One of the world’s northernmost wineries. This is a starting project at cold climate viticulture and it’s not like you’ll have a wide range of local wines available (yet), but if you catch the winemaster for a tasting and a tour, you’ll get to taste them and hear all about it with lots of stories and background. Simply amazing idyllic setting, great hospitality, good food, especially the artisan pizzas.

This place is so amazing!!!!! If I could give it more thank five stars I would, trust me if your looking to have an amazing time with your family, and eating delicious food then this is the right place for you!! It is like a farm but nice and awesome. Workers are nice. Rooms are great!!! Bathroom is cool as well!!!!! Beds are nice!!! And so much more!!! It was an amazing stay! I loved it!!! Plus there is a cute and adorable animals and it is so relaxing and has a country feeling to it!!!

Muhu Veinitalu - the Muhu Wine House or Wine Farm - is a small, family-owned winery on the Estonian island of Muhu. There are very few places in the world where you can enjoy peace and quiet, privacy, beautiful real nature, and authentic tastes and flavours. Here you can. The owners manage and groom the vines in the vineyard, plough, tend, collect and make the wine, bubbly, cider and schnaps that they offer so it's truly personal and one-of-a-kind. The lodge only has 10 rooms so you get attentive personal service at a price point that in Western Europe or America's would be multiples of this. The wooden "energy pyramids" are a cool touch. Ask the master viticulteur and sommelier, owner Peke about the history of Luscher & Matiesen brand. Recommendation is that if you come to Estonia, take the couple of extra days to venture outside of Tallinn - stop in the town of Haapsalu on the way, then take the quick ferry to Muhu - going to the islandit really feels like you're stepping onto another land where time runs a different pace and your senses and feeling of aliveness and joie de vivre are heightened. highly recommended!

Had a vegan dinner with some great singers! Food was really nice (specially the vegan one) and although the room is dark for dinner, the atmosphere was great! :) Would come back!
