Maidla Nature Resort

I can highly recommend this stay for couples who want to spend some money on a gorgeous getaway in the nature of Estonia. The breakfast was delicious and the service great. The dinner which could be ordered extra 3 days in advance was good but a bit too expensive for what it was in our opinion.

Once we’re back in Estonia, we will definitely spend a night here again!

We had a magical mini vacation in Maidla. The location is beautiful with its grand manor house and big old trees in the park. The villas are nicely tucked away in the forest and very private. The food was exquisite and the atmosphere relaxing and serene.

This was our second time experiencing the magnificent uniqueness that Maidla possesses.
We stayed in "Poku" one of their villas. It is remarkably well designed, almost awe inspiring when you enter.
Each room has a feeling of being in an individual room yet kitchen, living area and bedroom are all open. It has sauna, outdoor tub to cool down, shower and toilet/ vanity basin. All superbly designed and appointed.
And what makes it so special is it is located in the middle of a nature area.
We had the 5 course evening dinner in SOO, Maidla's restaurant. Daanius the head chef served the most unbelievably delicious food. The taste combinations were without doubt some of the best that I had ever experienced. He uses the most local of local produce, with combinations only he could dream up. His food is astonishingly good and is as unique as the resort. They are a perfect match.
We also choose the matching wine menu which complimented the food precisely.
It is very easy to see how this young chef has won awards from the Michelin Guide.

As the resort caters for a small number of guests the service is of the highest standard. It is personal yet professional and could not be faulted.

Our visit to Maidla will be repeated...

52 square meters in the middle of Rapla County in this luxurious villa Poku, where You can hear both the hawks and storks and see wonderful foggy sunrise over the marsh. Enjoy the massage as additional service, then sauna, jump into the outdoor pool, enjoy real fire in the outdoor fireplace, have a swing, eat and start all over again until you sink into the king-size bed and fall asleep between six pillows. Romantic getaway experience guaranteed. I would recommend the place.

This was a serene experience where every detail called us to be present for each other and in communion with nature. Imagine arriving on a dark November evening at this old manor house which is mysteriously lit, not a soul to be seen. Then walking to a nearby house with a sign to ring the doorbell to get help from a house fairy. And there she comes, this warm and calm young lady who welcomes us in nigh perfect English, offers us a welcome drink, talks about the place we are about to stay. She then guides us through the dark to our villa, Kaseke. It’s warm and cozy, designed with attention to every detail. Our delicious dinner was served at our villa by the house fairy. It was like observing a tea ceremony - every movement mindful and not intrusive to our private space. The morning after we woke up to a misty sunrise, enjoyed breakfast and a tour at the old manor house by a second house fairy. When staying at the nature villas, you will experience a place and a team where the story and the service are seamlessly intertwined. Often claimed but rarely embodied trait in the hospitality industry!

It’s a magical place and ideal for a quick, easy, romantic getaway from Tallinn. Couldn’t recommend it more highly.

The location and the surrounding nature are rather distinctive, as Estonian coastal areas and islands have received more attention. For that reason it is unexpected and pleasant to find yourself in an environment surrounded by bush aesthetics and solved by modern architecture. All the cottages are very private and you can really blend in to the nature without losing modern amenities of the villas. The service is very personal and warm.

One of the best experiences ever! If you’re looking for an escape from the city and want to relax and enjoy the calmness of the Estonian nature then this is the place to go. We had a wonderful stay at villa Kaseke at the Maidla Nature Resort and can’t wait to come back in summer. The whole area with the wetlands and the old manor is amazing. Thanks so much to the lovely fairies who made our stay just wonderful.

Maidla is the best place to anyone who looking to get away from city noise. We enjoyed every minute there. It was incredible stay with stunning views surrounded by untouched nature in a cozy and luxurious villa. Accommodation was perfect with a personal service. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Girls you are really like fairies, you’re - amazing. You are the best team ever, team who helped to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We will happily return to this place.

Nowadays technologies in the middle of woods 👌 Really friendly team and cozy forest houses - with fireplace, jacuzzi and absolute relax. Nice details like dedicated books and pleasant view to calm forest do the magic of finding peace 🤗 Don’t forget to visit the mansion too ❤

This is exactly the kind of thing wished existed, but until Maidla I hadn't found :) You're truly surrounded by nature, yet have all the comfort you could ask for. Support staff is affable, food is excellent (they take your dietary restrictions into account). The manor house and its surroundings is also interesting to visit in its current state, and I'm sure will develop into something quite unique as it gets renovated. Being able to take our cat with us was a big deal, since the little fella seemed to enjoy the sounds and smells of nature even more than we did.

We stayed at Käbi villa for an autumn weekend getaway. One night was great, but two would have been even better. It was so relaxing to watch the falling leaves dancing behind the huge window from the comfy bed. The hot tub and fireplace added to the atmosphere. It's such an immersive experience so I'm looking forward to visiting Maidla in different seasons.

From the first to the last minute of our stay it was just tremendous. Delicious food, the terrific architecture and interior of villas, exceptional cleanliness and utmost friendliness from the staff. 13 out of 10 :)

We had a nice cosy getaway in this unique place. Great chance to have some alone time with only nature around. We stayed at "Kasake" villa and it felt like we were sitting around fireplace in the woods the whole evening. Plus they have super friendly hosts, who showed everything around, told us the story of this place and minor and took good care of us.

Super interesting and relaxing experience. I truly recommend also dining here especially if you love veggies. The manor has plenty of history, nature is great and Villa Käbi offered us a a very well slept night after a long evening in the jacuzzi.

A picturesque place in the heart of Estonia! Great place for a romantic dinner and getaway in the nature! Every season there has its own charm! Worth visiting!

Out of all of the places I have travelled in over 40 countries, Maidla stood out and was easily the best experience I have ever had. The utter privacy and pampering you are given, while still being in nature combines the best of all worlds. This is the epitome of minimalist luxury and the epic tour of the grounds is not to be missed. Not only is Maidla just a beautiful escape, but has a fascinating history that makes up the fabric of Estonia's rich heritage. Part of the wonderful team that runs this place is Geete, part artist, historian, detective, sociologist and superwoman, she made our stay unforgettable in the best of ways. If you want to splurge on yourself and someone special, Maidla is definitely the place to go.

Great location, design and architecture. An initmate experience both from villa nature and resturant atmosphere. Käbi is thought through and attention to detail is amazing, expect luxurius Estonian craft and a warm jacuzzi. Walk to villa is abit long: great for romanic mini hike, not so carrying your stuff.

This place is just beautiful! The stay was amazing. The cabin a design gem and comfortable. Above all the staff was super nice, friendly and kind. They made the stay even better!

Very warm and personal but at the same time professional staff. Villa itself was modern and super cosy plus it was very impressive how much they have paid attention to little details that made the stay even more comfortable and luxurious.
