The interior of this cafe alone is worth visiting - and many do so; if you come at rush hour, you could wait thirty minutes just to put your order in at the counter. It’s still worth it!

We were here twice during our stay in Tallinn. Everything about this cafe was absolutely delightful. Pistachio cheesecake is a must!

Phenomenal cafe in Tallinn!
Definitely a highlight of the trip, went for brunch and had the duck and the cardamom bun with coffee. €18 duck was amazing

Historical cafe with lovely atmosphere and great pastries & coffee in the middle of Tallinn city centre. If you’re visiting Tallinn definitely pop down to it, but just keep in mind that it can fill up pretty quickly.

Maiasmokk never lets you down. I quess there's a reason for it to be the oldest Cafe in Tallinn - meaning the really good ones survive through thick and thin (the different ages). Delicious pastry and coffee, classy and still cozy atmosphere, friendly service. A must go in every Tallinn visit. Or maybe every day you are in Vana Tallinn ❤

Really cute cafe, they have everything you need for a nice breakfast or for a quick afternoon snack. The quality of the foods and beverages is really high.
If you are a tourist they also have lots of food souvenirs for a good price.

One of the few places open at 9am for us early birds looking for a coffee and a pastry! Was very quiet for about 30 minutes then started filling up fast. The other floors open at 10, while the marzipan room opened at 11.

This building faces the Russian embassy at the back where some protest banners can be seen. Every now and then some pedestrians stop to snap a picture. So it's like visiting two interesting places at the same time.

Unique ruby hot chocolate that tastes quite delicious. The pistachio cake was not so good though. Overall a nice place.

Historical café perfect for breakfast. Always crowdy but note there is a large beautiful room at first floor, very beautiful and quiet.

It says on the door that this is Tallinn’s oldest cafe since 1864!
My cake was extraordinary, and the coffee is excellent. I ordered a large coffee where they added more water to it. I requested whip cream on top to balance out with my intense dark cake. I am confident should there be intense coffee and less water, it would be excellent. I should’ve opted for a small coffee or double espresso at least.
The ambiance is very classic, and the line to order is very long! All the staff are experienced elderly women. Something I really miss, and yet appreciate these days! Highly recommended!

Very nice historical cafe with excellent pastries and coffee. A bit crowded but nice place to relax for a bit. Look for the marzipan display in the side room.
