Egypt Western Desert Tours

Our 2-day desert trip with Loly and his team was definitely a once in a lifetime experience.

Our journey began with a comfortable car picking us up from our hotel in Cairo.
Arriving at the Bahariya Oasis, we were greeted by Loly's warm hospitality and we had a delicious lunch.

Our adventure started with an exciting jeep ride through the Black Desert, followed by a relaxing soak in a natural spring, complete with delicious Bedouin tea. We stopped at the Crystal Mountain, ventured through the enchanting Magic Valley that felt like being on a different planet, and even tried sandboarding - an absolute thrill. Our day culminated in the White Desert, where we stopped at the famous Mushroom rock formation.

Arriving at the camp location, the tents were set up, the sun set, the fire was lit and the dinner was being prepared. Meanwhile, we admired the milky way and the unique landscape. The dinner under the stars was amazing, honestly some of the best chicken (cooked over an open fire) I've had with tasty rice, salad, soup & vegetables.

After the comfortable night in the tent, we had a nice Bedouin breakfast, the crew dismantled the camp and the ride back began. We took a different route and stopped for a coffee. Arriving back in Bawiti (with showers & toilets), we had another great lunch before our return to Cairo.

We can only recommend Loly's experience to anyone seeking a truly extraordinary adventure.

We had an unforgettable sunset trip to the Bahariya Oasis Salt Lake.

We were picked up in a 4x4 jeep by a member of Loly's team (a great driver) who was telling us about the oasis and the people.

Our first stop was one of the hot springs in the area. Then, we continued off-road along the black mountain called Gebel Al Ingleez towards the heart of the oasis.
Driving through the thousands of palms surrounding the lake felt like being in a movie and we stopped to collect some delicious fresh dates.
The salt lake was really the best place to watch the sun going down, we simply sat down and enjoyed the atmosphere.
On the way back, we enjoyed watching the life of the villagers and our guide invited us for a coffee in a local cafe which we couldn't say no to. Finally we had a lovely traditional dinner on the property in Bawiti.

Loly, the owner, and his team showed the greatest hospitality and they made sure we had everything we needed to have a great experience.
