Even though I didn’t make a reservation (sorry I didn’t know I had to!) the staff allowed me to have a single table and eat. The pilgrim’s menu was quite nice, I chose the beef and fries and it was cooked nicely. I tried to communicate with my broken Spanish and the waiters had no problem understanding what I was trying to say! 🤣 Thanks for your patience and service, wish you the best.

Great friendly, family run place. Food is excellent and the staff are very accommodating. I would definitely book here again if I get back in the future.

A must visit on the Camino, wether you are staying in Rabanal del Camino or just passing by. We got the Cocido Maragato for two because we heard it’s a specialty of the region. It was spectacular! Very filling but the meat was delicious and cooked perfectly. It came with a lovely tomato/orange carpaccio as an appetizer and the best natillas we’ve had for dessert. Highly recommended! Service was very friendly and welcoming as well.

I had dinner here and it was excellent. I got the steak entrecôte and it was juicy, wonderfully tender as well as cooked to perfection. The fries were the best I have had in Spain. Would recommend to anyone especially pilgrims traveling through. The servers went out of their way to help shout out to Cris she was the best server I have met on the Camino.

Solid stay on the Camino. Functional, but clean and sufficient room. Good WiFi. Exceptional resturant. Ate dinner (camino menu, veg. soup and chicken) and breakfast there. Reasonable prices and really really good quality.

The owners of this place know very well how to work with quality and take care of their customers. We stopped here to stay one night because my girl got a pain pedaling for the Camino, and then we both found out that we did not feel good with the stomach and the restaurant of "El refugio" prepared exceptionally for us a white rise that we are in the room. Still not in good shape the day after we decided to stay for longer and they have been available for all our request. The place is super cozy and elegant and there is space for bycicle. The room are clean and the service is on the top.

Very nice pensione. Snug single rooms. Courtyard clothesline. Good meals. Located right across from the monastery (the monks are recovering from Covid in late May 2022, so could not do chants, but have arranged another monastery to come and say mass). Healing prayers for quick recovery.

The rooms are snug and comfy, but the restaurant is really where it's at. Delicious food in good portions, the service is impeccable. Best service and value on the Camino!

Wonderful place, cozy, inviting and clean. Very sweet and accommodating owners. The food was top notch, among the best on the road. Excellent night’s rest in Rabanal. Highly recommend to other pilgrims.

Excellent, one of the best, if not the best, on our Camino hike. The Restaurant was a complete surprise! The food was excellent. A complete surprise for a small town in the middle of nowhere. I'd come back to this small village just for the food. Excelente!

Had lunch here, the best meal so far and they have a vegan menu too. The taste and presentation was as good as any top restaurant I’ve been in. Do yourself and favour and enjoy a meal here A+++

The people are very friendly. It is in the best part of town, directly across from the church. The restaurant is amazing and has an outstanding vegan menu.

Awesome food, excellent service, great value for money. Definitely worth stopping by. Don’t forget to have one of their homemade desserts!

I love this place and the people who make you feel at home - Lobo the ambassador and Ida from Norway make this little oasis on the Camino very hard to leave!
