Restaurante Comosapiens

As cliche as it sounds I mean it when I say one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Spain and beyond. Everything was fantastic from the perfectly prepared dishes, using fresh local ingredients, to the friendly and efficient service, to the catchy name. How convenient is it that it is on the Camino as well for pilgrims with an appetite for something delicious and unique. Best wishes to this establishment and thanks for setting such a high standard. Truly appreciated and a wonderful experience. We think we will have to plan a special trip back just for another meal (and the picturesque town too).

I was very lucky to be in town on a Friday and this restaurant was open. After walking for 12 days on the Camino, it was great to have a restaurant quality home cooked meal. The menu of the day was €20 including wine. I had the pasta, and beed stew. Both were perfectico. And don't miss dessert. I had the chocolate mousse.

One of the best meals I have had along the Camino. Excellent presentation, amazing flavors, and perfectly prepared. You can feel the passion in the food and atmosphere. 20€ for a three course meal with wine and bread.

What a fabulous rare find along the Camino. Restaurante Cosmosapiens is most definitely upscale from anything I’ve experienced yet & my meal will rank in my top 10 if not 5 of my life.

Everything about my afternoon spent in the gorgeous & yet not pretentious atmosphere was anaZing!!!

The chef & waiter very attentive. You could tell the owner chef wanted me & others to enjoy their food. No question .. it was fabulous!!!

OMG! What an unexpected delight in such a small town. This place is worth driving to from anywhere! Absolutely fabulous!

The most amazing late lunch had here on our Camino! Set course & the food was INCREDIBLE!! Service was a little under pressure as they’re were a few large tables but we loved it!

One of the only spots along the camino (outside of big towns) that serves something other than bread and potatoes, but at camino prices!

There was good variety for the set menu, and everything looks just as good as it tastes. No complaints. I just wish I could give extra points for the name of the restaurant.

Its an absolute pleasure to eat at comosapiens. The quality of the food its simply amazing. Local product, grown on their own land. I fully recommend this place. The experience its outstanding

What an excellent experience! My husband and I came here for lunch after arriving in town. The food was absolutely delicious, and our server was very kind.

Absolutely perfect!
The decor: A very tasteful barn conversion with exposed beams and a wood burning stove yet at the same time modern and accommodating.
The food: Both my partner's fish and my steak. Exquisite
The wine: Tandem, a Moroccan Shiraz. Fantastic.
The dessert: Mascarpone flan with mandarin sorbet. Delicious.
If we're ever in the area again we'll be back.

This restaurant was the best on my Camino. The set menu was so tasty and nicely presented. We got to sit next to the fire place which was so relaxing. The owner/waiter was very friendly. We had a great time here.

Amazing value. Get the more expensive menu. Chef is really friendly and attentive. Food is fresh, simple and extremely well conceived. I loved the presa (rare Iberian pork) with cucumber relish. Best meal I've had on the Camino, even in comparison with Michelin starred restaurants in Pamplona and Leon

We had a wonderful lunch with tomato and basil soup and delicious lamb. We ordered a local IPA at the end. The chef was supposed to be at a ceremony receiving a recognition for his work and food but was instead with us. It is set in a beautiful town on route to Santiago de Compostela.

About 25 pilgrims had the traditional Pilgrim's Dinner together at Comosapiens. We were all very impressed by the excellent food and quality wine on offer. The price was surprisingly good, as always for pilgrims. The owner is a really nice person and he entertained us with stories about local wines and food, music, and the million year old findings in Atapuerca. Next time I will come by car and also visit the Neanderthal findings on display in the museum in Burgos. /Magnus from Malmo, Sweden.
