Restaurante Cueva Reina | Alquézar

Came on Friday and my god the food was amazing. Everything was so beautifully presented and tasted divine. The price was good, and I was beyond full after. Definitely consider visiting if you are in the area!

We visited the restaurant on Sunday and enjoyed set lunch menu. Earlier booked a table for six per e-mail at 1 am on the same day(!). We did not expect, but it was a real feast. It was slaw but definitely worth it. Despite we could not communicate in English, but we really felt looked after.

We came to Alquezar to walk the Pasarelas del Vero and had lunch here afterwards. It was a great experience in every way.

Excellent menu consisting of traditional dishes with modern twists. The owner is not just an entertainer but alto a great host. If you visit the area, the worst thing you can do is not to call in. Great views.

Fairly expensive but excellent. The dish of bull with ginger was exquisite. Service couldn't have been better, very friendly and professional. I was also given, free, an apetiser of cold tomato soup wth basil ice cream and olive ice cream, although I'm not keen on tomatoes, it was absolutely delicious. 25€ for the bull and a beer.

Great experience. Lovely decorated dining-room with fantastic views. The 22 euro menu options are superb. Unbeatable value for money.

This lovely restaurant with a huge view if the mountains and valley below is situated away from the more busy touristy strip in Alquezar and requests you make a reservation, but it is wholly worth it. The owner is a real character, fun and a wonderful host who will help you select the best food choice. The food is fantastic, probably one of the best we have eaten so far in Spain. Highly recommended.

A truly unique place! Food, interieur and hospitality are very personal and excellent. Love for food, guests and interior details distinguish this place. We don‘t speak Spanish and the the host doesn’t speak English, but communication was well bridged. We asked for advice in the local cuisine and followed the host in a lot of recommendations. We certainly will remember this version of white gazpacho made from almond and blended with some exceptional spices. Another recommendation is the pluma credo iberico. As desert we choose the torrija de boniato - surprising and very tasty!
The biological wines are carefully chosen from local vineries and also excellent. We miss the sixth star on trip advisor!

An excellent choice when in Alquezar. The owner (he opens up as the evening progresses) and his staff are first rate as is the food. Wonderful interpretations of local dishes and a brilliant local Somontano wine list. Recommended.

Super fun restaurant in Alquézar. We were traveling in the off season and were lucky enough to stumble upon this place wandering around the city. And what luck! The food was great, the wait staff was super friendly, and it was super reasonably priced. I also don't know if the views could be beat by anywhere else—gorgeous vistas for kilometers all around.

The jamon salad was a huge portion (good for the table), pork cheeks were a lucky hit, and the hake (fish) was perfectly cooked. If we were in town for more nights, we would have gone back.

We had the pleasure of visiting Cueva Reina last night during a brief visit to Alquezar. We were welcomed most warmly on our arrival, given a prime seat overlooking the spectacular mountain town of Alquezar and the canyonlands below, and were treated as if we were close friends of the staff. In all our time in Spain over the past two and a half weeks, this was our favorite dinner. The portions were large, the kindness was overflowing, and we will be re-telling the story of that night for years to come. 10/10, must go again!
