Castell de Guadalest

Absolutely magnificent.
I visit 2-3 times a year. If you wonder about my tattoo from previous reviews: this is it.
Stores are nice, and a lot of them, people are friendly. Come early, parking is available for 2€. Food is nice and also a lot of variety. Visit the castle, it goes through the house and after you go up for a magnificent view.

Great little castle high up in the Mountains, north of Benidorm. Spectacular views and a resonable entrance fee to get access to the castle and Main house.

Tourist trap, lots of coaches in the season, typical gift shops, BUT justifiably popular. A stunning setting, fabulous views, history, a spectacular drive through the mountains to get there and a deep blue reservoir with shining white edges (given the drought conditions). Go early or late, or off season if you can, but plenty of car parking (paid but cheap compared to the UK).

El Castell de Guadalest or simply Guadalest  is a town of Valencia. Guadalest has an area of 16 km² and it has total population of 189 inhabitants(approximately).
It is an excellent place to visit and you will experience vibes of a castle. It has exceptionally good view of lake and high rise mountains.
It has spacious parking and strongly recommended for tourists.

A very interesting place to visit. A great deal of work has been done to insure an easy accent to the top. Parking can be frustrating, but once beyond that it is rather amazing.

Loved this mountain village, the castle and dolls house museum are well worth a visit. Make sure you allow time for a wander round the village streets. Definitely recommend

Beautiful hilltop village, offering spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Some quaint souvenir shops and bars en route.

Really nice village. Definitely worth a visit. Plenty of small restaurants and quaint little shops with lovely viewpoints and a nice church. The castle is low cost entry and is worth visiting, open to 8pm most days. It is a like a small stately home inside then outside there are steps up and around the rock and battlements. Stations of the cross like the way up. Amazing views over the turquoise lake in the valley below and surrounding mountains.

I really like this castle! Small and cozy, with antique furniture and interior items. Nice balcony overlooking the lake. Entrance costs 4 euros for adults, 3 euros for children (under 10 years old).

Oh my goodness what a feast for the eyes!!!! This place is not to be missed on your visit to the costa Blanca. Historic, picturesque & very charming. Easy to navigate but there are a few uphill steps that the elderly or people with walking difficulties may find challenging. A bit slippy underfoot in places due to the very worn pebble paths so please wear sensible walking shoes. Pushchairs for children would not find the walkways easy to use. Gift shops are very reasonably priced and not there to rip you off. Restaurants and bars to provide refreshments and toilets situated on the car park. Well worth the visit and would highly recommend you go. What are you waiting for???

Most amazing view from the top of the mountain pass as you drive over the top. And the exhilarating feeling seeing the turquoise lake is second to none 🤩 we loved it so much we drove back twice 💙

Finally got to visit this beautiful place with these amazing views. The Castell in the mountains and the reservoire was definately worth seeing.
