Visited the Bole International Airport restaurant and had an excellent experience. The food was delicious, and the service provided by Gashaw was exceptional. My Friend Faysal and I were invited by the Ambassador of Republic of Somaliland, who recommended Kategna as the best restaurants for local food.

Everything about Kategna was great. The whole place was clean and smelled good. The staff was very nice.

Our waiter was awesome, the staff also worked as a team in bringing and cleaning up our food. The food was fresh and de-li-cious.

I think this is the best Ethiopian food I’ve EVER had. Certainly the best butter shiro. Everything is so fresh and delicious. The presentations are beautiful and portions are large. Ginger tea is very strong. Interior is pleasant and lovely.

Quality service and delicious traditional dishes. All branches are quite similar, etiquette service. My first go to place, especially for their Beaynetu dish. Highly recommend to everyone seeking Ethiopian variety meals.

If u r looking for traditional Ethiopian foods kategna is one of the best ways to go. The dishes are tasty and they are consistent through out all their branches. The places have nice vibes to them and are very specious. Nice service.

Very neat and well decorated restaurant with ample seats.
The food is so amazing to the extent you dont want to stop eating. We ordered the huge plate with sample of everything and it was unforgettable.

The service is above and beyond the expectations and regardless of how busy the restaurant was, our food was in the table in no time. Also very polite and respectful waiter who served us.

We decided to go again and ordered shiro and tibs and no doubt our orders came fast and the taste was beyond our expectations.

I don’t need to think twice to recommend this epic Ethiopian restaurant.the place has a great vibe, packed with international and local community for the amazing aromas of spices! But same time grate fast and suitable for everybody . Amazing interior with best location.

Kategna is number one restaurant for local food. The restaurant is always in immaculate condition, there is nothing negative about Kategha, it’s A* restaurant. The staff was very nice, their professionalism is way higher than most 5* hotel in Addis.

We had their fasting special and it was great, the place was a bit crowded but the waiters were quick with our order. Customer service was spot on. All in all it was a good experience.

It’s the place that provides best traditional Ethiopian dishes. In a city where restaurants come and go with the season this place has stood the test of time and retained its quality. but the price is little expensive.

So surprisingly I am at an airport enjoying some of the most unique aromatic synergistic mysterious beautiful flavors I have ever had

Great place to experience traditional Ethiopian food. The ambiance is great. It is a very popular social restaurant. The service was quick. And the price was very affordable. If ever in Addis Ababa seeking traditional Ethiopian food, definitely try this place out.

Nice restaurant the food perfect but no rice

This place is sooooo good. I had the gomen be siga, shiro, Katenga and chechebsa. Everything there was 10/10. The space was clean, waiters were great and service came at good timing. Highly recommend going

Great Ethiopian cuisine that I could not stop eating. I wish the menu was larger and easier to read. Generally clean and service was good. Try the raw beef 🤤.

The food here was so freaking good, we came here twice in two days. For breakfast, do not miss their "special ful" (spelled "special foul" in the menu) dish. Their beyayenetu is also to die for. Their doro wat is the best I've tasted, besides homemade.

This place is commonly featured in many travel food documentaries/shows (re: Anthony Boudain's Parts Unknown and YouTubber Mark Wiens), so one may suspect that it might be overhyped. It's not. The food is amazing and the service is really attentive.
