Tissington Caravan And Motorhomes Site

Superb CL. Secluded location but all sorts of local walks and cycle trails - often off-road (Tissington Trail). Safe walk along the trail right into Ashbourne. Very friendly and helpful owners. Highly recommended. Nice café in the Village.

Lovely peaceful campsite, all the facilities we needed, easy booking, very friendly owners and a lovely location on the edge of a stunning peak district village with superb access to many walking routes

This is situated inTissington village which is around a 10 minute drive from Ashbourne.
Ideally placed for The Tissington Trail.
We have been here several times and will continue to come back.

Fantastic cl, all hard standing pitches. Fabulous views. Very quiet only farm noise. 2 min walk into Tissington. 5min walk to Tisslngton trail. Highly recommend.

A wonderful little site. Very pretty and very quiet with easy access to the beautiful village of Tissington and the Tissington trail. We will definitely be going back 😀

Small 5 van CL perfect for the tissington trail walk or cycling. All.pitches now hardstanding with great views. Use your own showers but elsan point & water taps & electric points. Tissington a small quaint village - Great butchers

Brilliant absolutely brilliant. Great site right next to nature at its best. Local butcher 1min away, hostorical sweet shop 2 mins away. Honestly we seen everything, new born calves, lambs pheasants and a whole list of birds. We are coming back definitely 👍

Amazing place. An absolute beautiful village and countryside with heaps of walking and cycling trails all around. The owners were amazing. We got stuck in the field and they organised the family tractor to pull us out, and as the weather had ruined the local water supply, the owner brought us 6x1.5l water bottles to make up for the shortage, and even let us borrow an electric hook up extension Really lovely place and people. Fully recommend. Will be back.

Peace, birdsong and views. Immaculately kept. Perfect location. One of the best. Owners are so friendly and take great pride in the site.

A lovely CL site. Take your bikes as there are several trails in the area. Very clean and tidy and a good location just outside the village of Tissington which is like an oldie worldie charm village on the front of a box of chocolates. Remember to visit the local butcher which is within walking distance of the site. Fabulous meat! I would definitely return. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Third day at this lovely CL location and nothing but praise for the welcome, friendliness, ease of access, site facilities and fantastic views. Only 5 vans but plenty of space and flat standings, absolutely perfect for exploring the Tissington Trail and area of outstanding beauty. Highly recommend at £18 per night.

Fantastic small site if you have your own facilities on board. Clean and tidy, grass and hard standing pitches with electric at reasonable prices. Book, arrive, pay online or in person. Walks all around and the beautiful village of Tissington on your doorstep.

Lovely well positioned site. Easy walk onto the Tissington trail and into the village with numerous walks from the site. There are 5 hardstanding pitches slightly sloping. The site is a triangle shape so 4 pitches are besides the walls and have quiet country roads besides them with more people walking than cars. The walls are low so passerbys do stop and look over and talk so it's not a private secluded site. Water pressure at the taps is slow so it takes a long time to fill up an Aquaroll and to flush out the toilet cassette but no real issue. Tv signal and phone signal are both good. Easy access from main road and into site. Would definitely recommend.

Really lovely little campsite. Very peaceful and excellent for the dogs. Owner very welcoming. Great location for the Tissington Trail. Will definitely return.

Lovely peaceful site with the most friendly owner you could wish to meet. 2 minutes walk to center of village. This was our second visit and certainly won't be our last. The views from all pitches oh the site are amazing. We spent a full week here and enjoyed every moment.

All 5 pitches are hardstanding, location is excellent.

Arrived on this site on Wednesday 27th June 2018. Had had three nights at site Great Longstone where they charged us £72! The only thing going for it was the location next to to Monsal Trail. Site was scruffy and we felt we were completely ripped off. Tissington was fantastic. Beautifully kept. The owner, Ed, arrived to make sure everything was ok. The location was stunning, near to tissington Trail. The village was gorgeous. We were charged £13 a night! For this we had a stunning, peaceful location with electricity, water and waste disposal.
Biked down to Dove Dale on electric bikes. Lovely location but a killer to get up hill out of Dove Dale. However, managed to recuperate at The Old Dog pub on way back to site!
Will definitely return to Ed's site but leave the one at Great Longstone unless you are happy to pay well over the top for limited amenities and £2 per night for your dog.
