Excellent museum with a treasure trove of information about Aldeburgh and it’s history. My children loved following the activities booklet and seeking out all the answers to the questions. There’s also display of classic scale car models which is really worth a look.

Beautiful old place and museum. I stood by it at the carnival and it makes a lovely backdrop and hosted the carnival queen's crowning. Looking forward to actually going inside.

Nice way to spend an hour. Learned a lot about the town and surrounding areas, especially through recent decades. There's also maps for walking trails and other activities around the area, esp for kids. The docents were very friendly. It's open from 1-4pm and we didn't need tickets, though we went on a rainy Monday so it wasn't busy. They do ask that you get there before 3:30pm so they can close up at 4.

Beautiful building, well maintained and restored. Very friendly staff.
This is the place to go to if you want to learn something about the building, the history of the town, the people who live there.
It's interactive as well so the kids don't get bored. There is something for everybody. We've had fun with the little quiz on the hanging slates. We spent over an hour looking at everything and we walked away less stupid than when we came in. Moreover your ticket (which at 3.50£ each is very reasonable) is valid for a month. So if you don't have time to see it all, come back an other day.
The car park is literally next door to it. We went for a walk along the sea afterward. Great afternoon.
Would recommend. Fab place. Xxx

What a delightful Museum, 3 Generations of our family visited we all took something away from it. So easy to understand the well laid out informative printed info. Lots of question and answer tasks. The exhibits are truly interesting. Two lovely Guides who left us to our own perusing but were there if we needed to ask something. After coming from the Red House this was truly an engaging visit. We would definitely return to Moot Hall and the area but certainly not to the Red House.

This is a really great museum, it is packed with all sorts of history relating to the area, everything from the fishing feuds, how the area was governed, Roman and Saxon influence and more. The information is displayed in different formats, there are interactive areas, models, and lots of artefacts. I was most surprised to see stone tools and Roman artefacts.

The staff are very welcoming and friendly.

Child friendly.

I would recommend a visit.

A tiny museum in the old Moot Hall, I have been by many times but yesterday we went in! Open 1-4 pm only. Very nice docents who were well informed and friendly but not intrusive. The interactive map on the lower level is fascinating!

For £3 a well presented display of local history. Staff were nice too. It's great to know our payment keeps this fabulous building maintained.
