Orton Grange Cafe & Gifts Ltd.

I came across this place while searching for a charger to charge my car. They have a bank of four Instavolt chargers, all of which are functional. While waiting for the car to charge up, we visited the cafe. The service was excellent, the portions were fantastic, and the mushroom soup of the day was delicious. The kid's cheese sandwich portion was incredibly generous, and the side of chips with skin was perfectly cooked. Whenever I am near Carlisle and need to charge my car, I will not hesitate to visit this place again!

We had a lovely lunch it was very tasty and reasonably priced. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. The shop was very well stocked with a variety of things. Would recommend a visit, plenty of parking on site and easy to get there. 👍

Lovely place that's clearly forward thinking with the addition of some of the best EV car chargers around.

Who wants to sit in the ques at gretna green services for a charger when you can visit here, grab a coffee and return to a fully charged car.

A fantastic find on the main road between Wigton and Carlisle: a cafe with a lovely and fairly extensive menu at very reasonable priced in delightful premises attached to a farm shop, also with a wide range of farm and local produce. The food was quickly and well served by friendly staff. The premises are all on one level with very accessible washroom facilities meaning the whole place is ideal for those with limited abilities.

Popped in for an all-day breakfast on our way home, food was very nice, good service and happy polite staff.

Stopped off for lunch while on way back from Carlisle. Easily accessible from the main road. Great produce in shop. Some really quirky products in gift shop. Food was beautiful. Would recommend the sausage and apple lattice pie

The complex at Orton Grange comprises a spotless farm shop - arrayed with specialty goods, local and luxury foodstuffs and drinks - including stunning meat and deli counters, fresh and frozen produce, and a cafe/restaurant. The cafe, which is spread over two floors, serves tasty breakfasts, brunches, and lunches, and is beautifully appointed with a mixture of tables and chairs, with cozy sofas for small groupings, and tasteful decor. Conveniently located at a roundabout on the A595 with it's own parking area - including a electric charger for eco cars. Staff were friendly and efficient, if a bit slow due to demand. We plan to return.

We stopped here to charge the car and for a better lunch than we could have had at a Services.

The burgers are substantial and really tasty, highly recommended. We were too full to eat cake, but that all looked really good too.

This is our second visit, this time for breakfast and it didn't disappoint - friendly staff, quick service and tasty food 😋

Called in as we have passed so many times over the years and always said we would. Brilliant staff, very helpful and the food was amazing. Probably one of the best lunch stops we've made of late. Highly recommended!!!

We had toasted sandwiches which were delicious, presentation was lovely, coffee hot (yes, some places do serve lukewarm coffee!!) I gave 2 stars for service as it was very slow and others who ordered 5 mins after us got theirs before us and one waitress was rude and had an attitude problem. If you're in hospitality leave your personal life at home, people out for lunch don't need to be the brunt of your attitude!!

I had the Sausage and Apple Pie off the Specials Menu, I must say this was a terrific choice and the best pie I have had in a cafe or restaurant ever! Well done Orton Grange, 5 stars...

Stopped off for a quick cuppa and cake had the tea bread which was delicious . I asked Tommy who had served us if they had the recipe as it was like one I used to make and had lost the recipe. He said he would ask the lady when she was in on Friday. I left my number, he has text me tonight having rung the lady. Absolutely thrilled and so impressed with that level of customer service.

Love bringing my little boy swimming here each week. Lovely warm, clean pool and the staff are lovely.
Beautiful farm shop with fresh produce that looks and tastes amazing not to mention the little gift shop and cafe.
The cafe serves delicious, fresh food. There isn't a particularly extensive menu however it is very nice. Highly recommend for coffee and lunch or afternoon tea and the staff are lovely, always accomadating, pleasant and helpful 😊

A lovely cafe and set in a great butcher's shop Cranston's one of the best in Cumhria. Hence the food is top notch and the service is excellent plus lots of room between tables.

It was extremely busy when we went so bearing this in mind the service was good and the food was good. Not keen on the pastry for the pie I had (bit thick and hard). But everything else considering how busy was very good..
