Luna Azul is a gorgeous bed and breakfast located just outside of San Pedro, on the lakefront. It was secluded and comfortable and had beautiful gardens.

I spent three nights at Luna Azul in November 2016 in one of their rooms (booked on Airbnb). I chose this place because of its off the beaten path, countryside location away from the hustle and bustle of San Pedro.

The B&B was situated a 5-7 minute walk outside of San Pedro in a peaceful and rural setting along the lakeshore. It was easy to get to and from town and the walk was beautiful. The B&B was along a quiet, dead end street that felt safe.

The Wi-Fi was excellent and the connection was fast, strong and reliable.

Every morning, a delicious home-cooked breakfast was served to me by the owner Erin to the small table outside of my room door. The food was different each day and it was satisfying and delicious. I appreciated Erin accommodating my dietary requests of being gluten free and vegetarian.

The B&B had a very relaxed, welcoming and home-like atmosphere. It felt like a home away from home and the owners Erin and Solina were so warm and inviting. The B&B was quaint and intimate with only four rooms and I loved the charming personal feel that it created.

I felt safe in this B&B and in San Pedro as a solo female traveler and experienced no issues. The B&B was secure with the entrance through a metal wall around the property and I walked to and from during the day and in the evenings.

I stayed in room #3 and it was spacious, comfortable and clean. It had two single beds, a table, lamp, closet, safe and private washroom. The washroom has basic toiletries and towels.

The owners, Erin and Solina, were both wonderful. They were welcoming, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. They paid attention to every detail and worked hard to make sure guests had a good stay. I didn’t see Solina much but Erin was friendly and funny and took the time to get to know her guests personally. They treated guests like their family.

There was a gorgeous and peaceful garden area outside of the rooms with a variety of plants, flowers and lush green vegetation. There were two lounge chairs and it was a beautiful place to relax after a day of exploring.

I had an amazing stay at Luna Azul and would definitely return and recommend to others. If you are looking for a quiet, charming and off the beaten path bed and breakfast, this is the perfect place.

Stayed here February 2020, just before Covid lockdowns. Like numerous others, I highly recommend staying here! Excellent value. Fantastic location a minute walk from Lake Atitlan and a 5 minute walk from San Pedro. Extremely clean, quaint and comfortable rooms, a lovely garden, a generous and delicious breakfast each morning. Solina is a fantastic hostess and person and, along with her lovely staff, will take great care of you.

I can't say enough nice things about this place. The manager, Erin, was great - very welcoming and helpful with anything we needed. The couple working here were also friendly and welcoming (and put up with our broken Spanish). Breakfast was amazing, and the fact that they did our laundry was a wonderful surprise. The walk to town was 5 minutes, and for us it was nice to be a bit removed from the craziness. We hope to be able to return sometime!

A definite 5 star! A semi private setting just at the edge of the pueblo where you are close enough to walk to town yet far enough to be in your quiet court. Newly constructed, beautifully and comfortably set, clean room, and GREAT breakfast included. Laundry is included too. We were spoiled by being the only guests but I cannot see any problems with having another couple or two. There are only 3 rooms at the B&B side. The hosts are great, and the local couple working here are wonderful. If you speak some Spanish, they are delight to speak with.

An outstanding b&b in San Pedro la Laguna on Lake Atitlan. Can't say enough about every aspect...comfort, cleanliness, breakfast. Gorgeous view of the lake from the balcony of the Casita suite. Easy 10 minute walk into downtown.

"Enter the third blue door on the left." That's what Solina said in her email confirming our stay...and we are so glad we did! Entering the third blue door on the left was like stepping into a secret garden! What a hidden paradise Solina and her staff have created at Luna Azul! The physical beauty of the place is lush and lovely! When you add Erin with her warm-hearted welcome and vast knowledge of the area...well...you're transported, aren't you! The room was comfortable, the breakfast....awesome, the shower was insanely good, It was wonderful, Erin and Solina! We can't wait to come back!
