Fun place to stay with great food and company. Amazing vibe. Staff was very attentive and made our stay very comfortable. There are parties here on Sunday nights that attract locals and the friendliest of people. We had a wonderful experience staying for 3 nights. We loved hanging out by the pool or chatting with other staff, locals or travelers on the front porch overlooking the ocean. There were mosquito nets in each room my friends and I stayed in. Note this is not a resort any longer, it's a hostel.

Great stay! HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a low key but comfortable place to stay. Rooms are clean, pool area is very very nice and location is maybe 15 minutes out of town (walking relatively slowly with large packs). It can be a challenge to find so make sure you plan ahead or ask around. The owners are a very nice family and quite accommodating. The easiest way to find the place is walking directly down the main road (straight from the public dock - approx. 10 mins) until you hit sand then turn left and follow the beach path until you see the Vecchia Toscana sign (approx. 5 mins). It may be a tad challenging at times with heavy packs however very doable in the day light if you are looking to avoid taxi's or trying to navigate the roads.

Absolutely love this place! Very nice and clean rooms. Great pool, hammocks, fast free wifi internet and Italian decor. Two things that make this place really great... First, each room has a mini electric water heater. This means that you instantly get hot water when you take a shower! People who travel know that hot showers in small Caribbean hotels is a 50/50 proposition. Secondly and most importantly... the service. We planned on staying two days and stayed four! Whenever we needed anything the owner/operators, dropped what they were doing to help us. The first day they booked a boat tour, the second day they made my girl friend tea and some papaya fruit to help with digestion, and the third day they booked our boat and bus ride back to Guatemala City. This was a huge help because I don't speak Spanish well.

I really don't know how they could have made our stay any better! Btw- they speak: Spanish, English and of course Italian :)

This place is amazing. The owner are doing the best to feel yourself home. The food is great, local and fresh. There is a nice swimming pool and the beach is just a few steps away. Just come and see by yourself

Dos Arboles is a beautifully hidden gem in Livingston. Not as far from the beaten path as I originally thought, it’s a relatively short walk from the main dock and the center of the city - a straight 10 minutes along the beach. If taking a taxi upon arrival, the ride is less than five minutes, and the fare is included wih your room. Under new ownership, Dani and Chris are a large part of what makes Dos Arboles so fantastic. They are true hosts with amazing ease and graciousness and a commitment to maintaining the beauty and structure of the hotel and grounds. Our bungalow was perfectly appointed, with AC, warm-hot water, and a rooftop deck overlooking the ocean. The pool and other common areas were clean and enjoyable, conversation intriguing, the food delicious, and the rest and relaxation plentiful. Dani and Chris even found a Garifuna band to play a private concert for guests upon request and scheduled our outgoing ferry for onsite pickup.

Ojala algun dia pueda volver. Aprendi mucho hablando con ellos.
