Hotel Bambu

This place is incredible! Our favorite place to stay on the lake. You feel like you're entering a little oasis as soon as you enter the property. Beautiful meandering pathways through well-maintained gardens, birds chirping everywhere, a secluded pool/temazcal/hot tub, clean rooms, and a fantastic restaurant. Plus the service is always amazing. Can't recommend this place highly enough. If you want to splurge go for the honeymoon suite! It's a one-of-a-kind experience on the lake.

I only ate at the restaurant and it was top notch. It was so lovely to make my way through the gardens to the dining area. And it just got better fro there. I had the fish in a delicious sauce. It was slightly spicy and well seasoned. I loved the extra touch of the whole roasted jalapeño which I took full advantage of. They had a nice wine list and actually had options for wines by the glass. The service and the view can’t be beat.

Beautiful place to stay highly recommend This place to stay food is amazing super clean and amazing views. They have great customer service and activities as well. We did the hike and the boat tour.

The review is for the restaurant only because I did not stay here. Had two dinners and a breakfast over a week stay in Santiago. Five big things for me: 1. Friendly staff, 2. The horticulture on site is beautiful, 3. The views are amazing, 4. Food and coffee (had the mocha) is really good, and 5. They have both friendly dogs (which belong to the owner I think) and rabbits on the grounds. Had the outside skirt steak with mushroom sauce… delicious!

We stayed at one of Hotel Bambu’s Air BnBs and it was so amazing! Right on Lake Atitlan, we had our own dock that we could swim off of, and it was only a 5 min tuctuc ride into Santiago! Our groundskeeper/helper, Nico, was awesome.

The service in the restaurant is amazing. Best food in santiago! Their seafood fettuccine is delicious, they really cater to your taste in food and drinks and just serve you with the best attitude. Love coming here.

Beautiful hotel! Location is suburb with a light breeze always coming off the water. I’ve stayed here multiple times and enjoyed each one. Service is excellent and food is top notch. Surpassed my expectations! The only negative is that the beds are extremely hard. Would love to see them upgraded.

Uff! Such a great meal and the service was amazing. Fantastic view right in front of the volcano and the Atitlan lake. Ask a Tuktuk (moto taxi ) to bring you here, is worth it!! :)

We have SUP tours from Panajachel to Santiago and have been here numerous times with groups. They love the relaxed atmosphere. Great service. I recommend any of the Burger's. They are Big, tasty and always made fresh to order!! Super satisfying, great WiFi and service!

Giving Bambu a five star as the surroundings and gardens with views of the Lake Atitlan are wonderful. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Easy walk within minutes into town. We used thei quality kayaks for an hour. Internet worked well by restaurant, in rooms and by the pool. Oh yeah, they even have a nice clean pool.

The Hotel Bambú is a phenomenal place to stay in Santiago Atitlán! The staff are the kindest, most accommodating people. They work hard to please and always with a smile. The grounds are lush and gorgeous. Most rooms have a lake view, so ask for a room up in the front of the property. Our large group of volunteers with ConstruCasa and JD Sheth Foundation put them to task each day, but they really went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. Pedro, Leonard, Daniel, Diego and all the other restaurant and reception staff are the best. Plus, the food is delicious! Don't forget to try the Mayan suana and the kayaks reserved for guest use (both included in the cost).

Such a good place. As t the beginning it was a little bit scary cause the entrance was a dirt road but inside it has a beatiful view with a nice dock and restaurant. The food was nice and tbe service was good
