The family that run this hostel are wonderful. The boys were working from dawn 'til dusk cleaning & ensuring everybody was well looked after! The pool was cleaned daily & made such a great escape from the heat. Quiet at night and lovely vibes all round. If you're looking for a loud party hostel go elsewhere! One wee note, the rooms are hot but with the window open and fan it made a great difference.

This is the best hotel in El Parón where I stayed. I highly recommend it, the rooms are very beautiful and the beds are very soft. Actually if you come to El Paredón I recommend that you come to this Hotel. I really loved

I stayed a total of 12 days a Charlie's and I gotta say I loved it there!
A very welcoming and friendly family runs it and they are helping you with everything! Also the best place if you want to practice your spanish! They are super patient explaining you everything you want to know. Perfect if you want a little more of the "local experience".
The hostel is super nice as well and only 2 minutes to the beach! They do have 3 hammocks and a patio with a sun-protecting roof to hang out. If you're hot and want to cool down, no problem as the pool is very refreshing. The dorm is equipped with Ventilators and mosquito nets.

I stayed in total 16 Days at this hostel and I loved it there. The Family is very welcoming and friendly. You really get an inside into local life there. Also the perfect place to practice your spanisch the family is super patient when talking to foreigners and explain a lot of words. The typical Guatemalan breakfast was also super nice each morning. Overall I would say best hostel in el paredon.

My experience at Hotel Charlie was wonderful. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Something I loved was the pool and the private air conditioning room is super. I hope to return very soon.

Me and my mate stayed for 3 nights in this hostel last year. It was the only place we could find with availability in El Paredon at a reasonable price last minute. We became mates with the two blokes running the place. Having breakfasts with them as well as football matches on the beach. Honestly such a good experience with ideal location right next to the beach. Great value for money and would highly recommend. Bedrooms WHERRREEEEE Charlie. 10/10

Basic dorms with fans and curtains for privacy but Carlos the person running it is super helpful and goes out his way to make your stay as smooth as possible. Very recently opened so they are making improvements every day. Pool to cool down and about 3 minutes from the beach and center of town so a good location

A very lovely place to stay. They mate me a typical Guatemalan breakfast in the morning and sat around and talked with me. A very friendly local hostel. It is a good price and I could not recommend it any more!

What a lovely, authentic place in El Paredón! ♥ The family (especially the son Carlos) was always available for a chat and advices around the area. I prefer this local accomodation 1000 times to the huge resorts that have owners from overseas. 100% recommended. I will come back here! GRACIAS!!

Nice to be in a local family environment with it's ups and downs but seriously mostly just ups. I love the family and everything that they are trying to get done. Not for everyone but great for the ones who get it.

A family hostel, very nice

Nous avons passé 3 nuits et deux jours complets à l’Hôtel Charlie et nous avons beaucoup aimé ! Il s’agit du seul hôtel géré par une famille locale situé à El Paredón. Les chambres sont simples mais suffises. Nous avons malheureusement eue juste un peu chaud en ayant tout de même le ventilateur. Heureusement la piscine était là, et nous en avons beaucoup profité ! Le logement dispose d’une cuisine toute équipée et deux salles de bains. La famille propose des excursions aux mangroves, aux tortues, des cours de surfs et même un service de shuttle.
L’hôtel est très propre et la famille adorable nous recommandons à 100% !

Petit havre de paix sur El Paredón. Un endroit où on se sent vite comme à la maison ! Ce n'est clairement pas un "party hostel" mais l'endroit idéal pour vous ressourcer: profiter des vagues de la plage, faire un tour dans la mangrove juste derrière ou tout simplement chiller au bord de la piscine.
Les chambres sont simples mais fonctionnelles.
Mais surtout la famille tenant l'hostel est juste A-DO-RABLE en tout point ! Très serviables (ils ont réponse à tout !)et hyper accueillante, nous avons adoré partager un repas avec eux et partir à la pêche aux conchas avec Charlie et Esau 😊
Nous sommes restés plus de 15 jours car nous attendions des paquets de notre pays d'origine et aurions pu rester encore plus longtemps ! Merci pour votre aide qui nous ont facilité la tâche dans les démarches administratives, merci d'avoir rendu notre séjour inoubliable !

Una estancia maravillosa. El personal amable y atento hizo que me sintiera como en casa. Habitaciones lindas y limpias con una vista hacia la piscina . Deliciosa comida y ubicación conveniente cerca de atracciones turísticas a tan solo 2 minutos de la playa. Servicio al cliente excelente . ¡Una experiencia muy buena!

Bientôt 2 semaines que je suis ici. La famille qui vous accueillera est des plus aimante, aimable et là pour vous aider.

A quelques mètres de la plage, vous trouverez ici l'essentiel pour votre séjour à El Paredón.

Ce ne sera pas un des gros hôtels et auberges que vous trouvez a 10 mètres de l'eau, ici tout se fait en simplicité et c'est là qu'est le charme.

Je ne peux que recommander cette endroit, vous vous y sentirez chez vous.

Es un hostal familiar y muy amigable! En el precio se incluye desayuno típico guatemalteco delicioso, de los mejores que he probado en el país. La habitación donde dormí y las estancias del hostal son cómodas, cuentan con ventiladores y mosquiteras para ahuyentar a los mosquitos. Carlos es fantástico en su trabajo y se esfuerza para que los huéspedes estén lo más cómodo posible, así como el resto de la familia que son encantadores. Repetiría 😁

Si vous cherchez les hôtels de luxes en bord de plage, passez votre chemin. Cependant, si vous cherchez un lieu familial et authentique, vous êtes au bonne endroit ! La famille est simplement incroyable, toujours ouverte à la discussion et aux échanges, prête à vous inviter à leur table. Le lieu est très agréable avec une belle piscine, à 2 pas de l'océan et Carlos et sa famille semblent avoir pleins de projets pour la suite. Belle ambiance dans l'hôtel avec le super volontaire sur place !
Je recommande cet hôtel les yeux fermés !!
