Salsa con Gloria Dance Academy

The best dance teacher ever! I started taking classes with Gloria 3 weeks ago through my language school and I must say I could not have lucked out more. First off, Gloria is such a lovely person to be around. She's so positive and excited about life. Just being around someone like her you can't help but feel good.

Now her dance studio. It's very clear from the moment you meet Gloria how much she loves and lives for dance. It's so obvious with how she talks and moves. From the first class I took with her I already felt that my dancing improved tremendously. She's so good at giving pointers on how to improve in becoming a better dancer. As a follow she gives such great advice in building your confidence and skills as a dancer so that you're not dependant on your lead. I'm so grateful to have had such an opportunity to be her student and I plan to return to Antigua to take more classes with her.

I had the pleasure to take salsa classes with Gloria while passing by Antigua. What a beautiful experience I had. Her classes are fun and what a patient instructor she is. I was a compete beginner and she has managed in few hours to teach me some of the iconic steps of this beautiful art! I highly recommend her classes to anyone passing by Antigua, I’m looking forward to come back and take more lessons from her!

Gloria is a phenomenal dancer and teacher. She took me from knowing almost nothing to being able to feel confident and comfortable social dancing. Now I’m starting to learn the leader role too. I love how fun and flexible she is and how much she LOVES dance and helps you feel good about wherever you are on the dance journey. I highly recommend Gloria to anyone looking to learn or improve their salsa dance! She is very competent teaching both the follower and the leader role and have enjoyed many private, semi private, and group classes with her, alone, with a couples lesson, lessons with a friend (another follower) and all combinations. She can do it all! I highly recommend Gloria.

I took Salsa on2 private lessons with Gloria and it was the highlight of my time in Antigua( I miss it already.) Gloria was a fantastic instructor who provided great feedback and helped me improve my basic foundations. She is also very fun and personable which made it easy to learn. After just two classes I saw improvements. She made everything SO simple- scheduling, communicating and teaching!

Regardless of your skill level, Gloria will tailor your lessons to meet you where you are. If you have any hesitations, I recommend you just do it!

Gloria has been an amazing Salsa teacher. I am completely beginner and I’ve have a series of private lessons and it’s been a huge highlight of my travels I can’t wait to keep learning more and sad I’m leaving Gloria! She has the best energy, so experienced and knowledgeable and has helped me to learn in such an easy way making sure I really know what I’m doing! Thank you I highly recommend!

Gloria was amazing to work with. My fiance and I have taken many salsa classes from several teachers in Canada and she helped us really enhance our fundamentals during a private lesson. We plan to take classes with her again the next time we are in Antigua. Thanks Gloria!

I had the best time learning salsa with Gloria - originally I booked one lesson as was in Antigua a short time, but then took a second one because it was so much fun. Gloria made learning the steps feel easy and also told me so much about Antigua and the salsa scene during our lessons. Would definitely return here if I’m ever in Antigua again :)

Gloria is amazing in privates and group classes! Such a resource in breaking down the basics, building up with our different abilities and making it fun! I felt my own understanding grow in aspects I never heard before.

I’ve been to a few salsa dance studios in Antigua and no doubts Gloria is my fav! She is flexible and provides both group and private lessons. I was there for 10 days and took more than 10hrs classes with her. She teaches from heart and I’ve learned so much techniques from her. I would really recommend Gloria if you wanna learn salsa in Antigua!

If you are in Antigua I would really recommend you to take some classes with Gloria! She is fun, bubbly and a good teacher. Me and my boyfriend took 3 private classes (wish it was more). You only pay around 10-12 euros/dollars for a private class for an hour. My boyfriend was not really experienced but she will make you feel comfortable.
