Volcán Pacaya

A must do if visiting Antigua. Completed the hike two months later after its eruption in July 2010 and now 13 years later, still a great place to visit with its magnificent landscape and beautiful views. The hike can be difficult for some people, but you have the option of riding on a horse the entire trip. Enjoyed very much roasting marshmallows with the fire/steam.

Great view of the volcano and an relatively easy hike. The cost of entrance and transport is a bit high but not bad

One of the best places to visit in Antigua. The hike seems easy but once you start you might consider paying for the horseback riding. Entrance was $15 usd and horses were $40

We hiked all the way up , able to watch a lava river coming out of the dry stones, so hot , so amazing and unique experience. It doesn't happen all the time but the adventure of walking to view from the top of the volcano....Priceless! Enjoy it!

What an awesome hike, we hiked up with my two local friends..... they were awesome...... it was a full day and it was rough as all the volcanic rock was loose as i stepped up.. once up top i took video of moving lava WOW it was awesome

Incredible land scape, take the walk up, it's a challenging walk but the views are very rewarding, if you can't make the walk you can you up on horse back, make sure to rent a walking stick.

Amazing hike up and one of our highlights in Guatemala. Seeing the lava up close was a rare treat and worth the effort.
