Great atmosphere, nice and cool, well equipment and all round amazing people! The bar is the perfect spot to re hydrate after a morning/afternoon dive. Great to socialise with other divers and enjoy the bay!

Great place to stay for a scuba weekend. Rooms are super clean and staff are very helpful. Love the location of this place, very conveniently located at the heart of "downtown Utila". The hotel is part of the diving school which adds to its convenience. Added bonus that the restaurant next door serves really yummy food.

An incredible place to stay. The lodge staff are friendly and accommodating. The dive staff is knowledgeable, passionate, friendly, and patient. People typically come here for days, weeks, months at a time to work on new certs for scuba. So you’re surrounded by experienced divers who exhibit great dive etiquette and a strong safety culture. Look no further you found your spot.

Utila Lodge has got to be the friendliest accommodations on the island!! You'll feel like a local in no time, and you'll be planning your next trip back before you even leave! The staff can help with anything you need, their diving college provides world class instruction for every level as well as fun dives, and the Lodge is built out over the water so the sound of the ocean will rock you to sleep every night. Great for families and groups too. It's paradise!

Really nice place and very well runned. The Lodge is the middle of town, yet peaceful and quiet. They rooms are very comfortable, breakfast is delicious, and their restaurant/bar on the water is absolsutely fantastic. They are connected to the College of Diving, so be sure to coordinate your diving together so you dont end up having to walk to a dive shop across town (my regret).

We had an excellent time here! Our room was very comfortable, breakfast was great and very friendly service. Our favorite part was sitting on the dock at night and spotting squid, eagle rays and tarpin. Highly recommend.

I've been coming to Utila now for 4 years, I've always stayed here. Comfy rooms with balconies right over the water, good AC and TV. Located centrally in town close to everything. Great restaurant and bar on site, and also the diving is great with good size boats just outside of the room. They really make everyone feel like family here.
Super on top of new Covid procedures to make sure everyone is safe and healthy including sterilization of dive gear, and smaller groups on the dive boats.

This trip was my third time coming back and hanging out with the lodge and this time staying with my girlfriend in one of the rooms there and let me tell you we couldn’t have had a better time anywhere else! We stayed a whole week in the same room and it was so comfortable and clean, the accommodation and hospitality of the staff is very friendly and helpful. Every meal was delicious, especially the breakfast bagels every morning with an iced dirty chai. It was perfect. Also the dock is one of the best places to relax, do yoga, have a good time, snorkel around (SO much life swimming around underwater there plus the eagle rays at night!) and just overall hangout! I only wish we had more time to stay there it made our trip so much better. They even had a special Valentine’s Day dinner event that was very nice highlight of our stay. An unforgettable experience to say the least! Whether you want to go diving, relax, adventure around, eat, play pool, sleep comfortably, anything really, this place is my favorite. Queenann, Ivy, and Rebecca all have been there forever and take the absolute best care of their guests! I will surely be returning in the near future to stay again. If you are looking for a very nice place to stay on the island for a good price with the best staff look no more this place is truly a paradise and you will have a great experience. Much love to the lodge!

Outstanding dive lodge. They cover all the bases. Simple meals focused on hungry divers. Accomodations basic but ideal for divers as the entire lodge is located on a pier. Staff are knowledgeable, safety conscious and go out of their way to be helpful.

I have been to Utila Lodge twice and I can't wait to go back again! The lodge is nice set out over the water with rooms, dining area, dock area and the best bar to watch the beautiful sunsets of Utila. Queen Anne is a delight behind the bar. The diving there is extraordinary with the best dive master, Willie! All of the staff are welcoming and helpful; I feel like I have friends there. Bonus, I got to swim with a whale shark!! Thank you Utila Lodge.

Great dive school runs out of the Hotel, which is located on the water. Room was spacious and had a privaye screened in porch overlooking the water. Rustic in design, good place to kick back and chill. Daily breakfast was included in the room rate. They have a bar and decks over the water for hanging out with friends. The staff was very helpful in arranging a golf cart rental for us and recommendations of things to do. Convenient location right in the central hub.

I just spent two of the best weeks of my life in Utila, and a large part of that is due to the wonderful stay I had at Utila Lodge. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, the staff went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed to enjoy my stay, and the atmosphere of friendliness they create there is second to none. As part of the all-inclusive package, we were served three family-style meals every day, and every one was fantastic. Some of my favorite moments on the trip were just hanging out in the bar with my friends, having some of Queenanne's rum punch, and enjoying a panoramic view of the ocean in front of us.

I'm not much of a gambler, but spend a week at the lodge and I'll bet you'll be doing what I did - begging Queenanne to burn my passport so I'd have to stay there forever!

Paradise as it was intended! Set out over the turquoise Caribbean waters of Utila Bay, Utila Lodge is the perfect place for whatever you’re looking for in a vacation. We can be your relaxing getaway, we can be your home for a week of great diving, and we can be your home during a week of high adventure.

Utila Lodge is amazing. I went down for the 2 week all-inclusive diver package and could not have been happier! 3 boat dives a day, 3 awesome meals a day, lodging over the ocean, and they even do and fold your laundry.

This is vacation as it was intended!

With the P.A.D.I. certified Bay Islands College of Diving right on-site, it was impossible to pass up an advanced diver class. The instructors were fun and extremely knowledgeable. The class was very personal which helped to calm my nerves as it had been a few years since my last dive.

This is the ultimate diving town that won't ever be over commercialized. There's no "Sandals" resorts and the "Disney Cruizlines" won't be stopping by here anytime soon. Utila is very popular amongst young dive professionals so you never feel like an outsider. Every bar on the island has a young person from Australia or Canada or Europe or where ever serving up drinks and having fun.

Dive, have fun and be happy! -Bobby B

I had the privilege of staying at the beautiful, Utila Lodge November 25 – December 2, 2017 with a group of friends. My first interactions with the resort was via email with marketing manager, Sean Mac. Being our travel agent took forever to respond to emails, I opted to direct my questions directly to the resort. Sean was always able to answer all the questions that came up over the weeks before we arrived.

Getting to Utila in its self is a unique experience, as Utila doesn’t have an international airport, so you enter the island via a small prop plane from Roatan or mainland Honduras. Once we arrived to the small landing field in Utila we were greeted by smiling faces, welcoming us to the island. And off we went to the resort on a very first of many tuk tuk rides for the week.

Upon arriving to the resort, we were welcomed by Marley, one of the resort managers to do our paperwork and make sure that our week at Utila Lodge was an amazing week. Marley and his staff at the resort were absolutely amazing, taking care of our every need and ensuring we never needed a thing. My birthday was on the 30th, and they even baked me the most delicious cake. That was a first at any resort.

We were also very fortunate we had Gabby as our DM. We had the best time diving with her over the week. She has an eye for finding the small stuff like small scorpion fish and nudibranchs. We did put in a request with her for a seahorse and a whale shark, but that didn’t happen  And we can’t forget Captain Albert and his since of humor and stories about the island.

Overall, I would give the actual diving a 6 out of 10, but that is no fault to the lodge. We visited the island during the rainy season, so they’re wasn’t the life that I have seen on neighboring Roatan or in Bonaire in the warmer months.

However, the resort itself is what made the trip. As someone who plans and leads trips to numerous destinations in the Caribbean, I can honestly say, I have never been treated anywhere else the way I was at Utila Lodge. It is truly the gem of the Caribbean.

So, a couple of things you need to know when coming to the lodge.

• Leave your worries at home, they got you covered.
• You will fall in love with their coffee, and will bring a bag or two back.
• The resort is in the middle of town, but off the strip so it’s quiet, but an easy walk to fun places like bars, shops and offsite restaurants.
• They will feed you like your momma did. Don’t come here to lose weight. You won’t go hungry.
• Customer service and charm will make you come back again and again.

Thanks guys for making my 42nd Birthday one to remember. And Sean, thanks again for the escort to Dr. Johns. We have laughed so many times about that night since we got back.

We can’t wait to see all of you again soon.

Didn't stay here, but spent two weeks diving from the dock here and eating at the restaurant. Wonderful people and food, not to mention a great place to sit and watch boats come in
