Joya is such a nice person. While cooking her delicious food, she’ll normally talk with you and is always a great conversationalist. I’ve always regarded this restaurant as the most comfortable place on the island. After a long day on the water, go relax with some great grub here.

I was recommended to come here by some people who had just left Utila after staying here for a few months. Best recommendation ever! The food is so delicious and Joya makes everything from scratch! She caters for both vegans and vegetarians and portion sizes are great! I recommend the falafel and eggplant wrap. Comes with a great side salad with balsamic homemade dressing. You can order takeaway or eat in. It looked and smelt so great that I forgot to take a photo

I wasn't expecting falafel on Utila, much less good homemade falafel and good homemade pitas. The ladies running the place are super sweet too. Definitely recommend!

One of utila's most underrated gems. Joya's food is made with more love than anything else on Utila.

My husband and I ate here every day during our time on Utila (and sometimes twice in one day) because the food is that delicious. Everything is fresh and homemade. Our favorites were the falafel and the falafel eggplant sandwich along with a glass of freshly made tamarind juice.

Joya (I’m sorry if I spelled your name wrong!) and her niece are amazing chefs and wonderful, kind people. We will miss seeing them every day and wish we got to say goodbye before we left the island.

This place is amazing so do not miss it! We’ll be trying to recreate our own versions from home but nothing will come close to the amazing food you’ll have at Ultra Light Cafe.

Really gread food foe reasonable price. Definitely recommended. I also enjoyed the Jamaica nazural juices! The owner is super kind. She actually had a night off when we came and opened extra for us (3 person). Highly recommended!

Here you will find excellent falafel, some of the best I've ever had. Plenty of vegetarian and some vegan dishes and chicken for you omnivores. The pita and hummus is out of this world and all homemade from the best ingredients. So good! Priced right. Would go back again, and again, and again. And proprietor Joya is super nice!

Super leckeres Essen in einer tollen, entspannten, familiären Atmosphäre. Besonders wenn man das typische Rice&Beans etwas gesehen hat, bekommt man hier ein bisschen Orient-Feeling und tolle Alternativen. Wer gerne gut isst, ist hier genau richtig.
