Restaurant & Apartments "Blu"

We had dinner in Blu. We eat three different fish tartar, pasta ala oglio and tuna steak tagliata. Everything was so delicious and tasteful. They also have great wine list. We drank saint hills rosé recommended by waitrer and it was perfect.
Interior is also really nice and cozy, with a sea view and good staff this is one of my favorite places in Rovinj. Definitely recommend it.

Great food, the staff is amazing and view is nice! The prices are little bit too high if you like a normal 1-3 course dinner!
It would be great if they would offer an à la cart menu or at least 3 course menu.
Anyway one of the best dinner I had in Rovinj and the staff were all perfect!

A Michelin star restaurant! We went there for our last dinner during our stay and didn’t know what to expect. The place has existed for many years and some reviews we read was somewhat mixed. However, the entire experience was breathtaking! From the chef introducing all the dishes and picking our wine, the ambiance and all the dishes served was top notch. We have been to Monte in Rovinj many times and this place pushed monte down to second place. Choose the chefs menu and enjoy! Can’t wait to come back!!

As I read reviews from 2020 and before I find some of them very misleading, mainly regarding the restaurant. I cannot talk anything about the apartments as we didn’t stay there. That might actually be a good point for the owners to split the website and google my business profiles to apartments and restaurant.

To review the restaurant only one word can actually sum it up - exceptional!

Restaurant is clearly aiming for Michelin star which actually justifies the price tag and menu composition which is fairly simple. You will get to choose from 3 types of menu Vegetarian, Fish or Meat. This is actually pretty awesome and you can find this service pattern in all great restaurant all over the world. In this way, restaurant will take over your entire dining experience and you can freely enjoy multiple courses served to you one-by-one throughout the evening.

Although the view on the bay and Rovinj city is great I would recommend this place for the food rather than view. Level of service, served food and its taste are very exceptional and provide you with great dinning experience, worth to talk about with your partner even after leaving the restaurant.

And experience is what real ‘foodie’ is actually looking for, right?

Honestly, very balanced ratio between experience, menu composition, food taste and service left me wondering where all those Michelin reviewers are stuck at? :)

Dined here after a very heavy afternoon storm so didn’t quite get the pleasure of eating right down by the water, however the weather made for a particularly spectacular sunset so all in all it didn’t really matter. Truly stunning setting and the food was delicious. Not the best we had in Istria but there oysters were particularly fantastic and the service was attentive and friendly. Quite pricey but we expected that for the position and felt the value for money was still good.

We had an absolute superb dinner during our stay in Rovinj. All courses blew us away through their composition and harmony of spices and herbs on great fish and meat components. The red wine I had with my courses was from a local vinery and outsanding. The service was entertaining and then again not too present so we could enjoy our dinner without interruption. Expect to pay some money but also expect that you get great value for that. People who judge restaurants by the size of portions should stay away and go to Balkan Grill budget places. I hope we get a chance to dine here again!

Great food, fresh quality, great atmosphere (we sat right by the sea), super friendly and helpful staff. We came in late, a few minutes after the kitchen started the clean up, but they took us in with a smile and a full menu

The most delicious dinner I've had & a gorgeous, view of the old town of Rovinj. Amazing service and warm hosts. Blu is a great name for this restaurant, because while having dinner, you are mesmerized by the beautiful blue color of the open sea. Definitely the place to be! :)

Perfect restaurant for a lazy Friday lunch, and Restaurant Blu did not disappoint.

Magical views, crystal clear waters and a great view of Rovinj.

There was a limited lunch menu, but the food was delicious and a substantial wine selection of local wines. I wish we had time to also sample the dinner menu, which was more extensive.

A special mention to our waitress, who just made the day even better with her friendly banter.

Great restaurant with an enthusiastic young team, delivering an interesting tasting menu (choice of Veg, fish or meat based menu). Locally sourced ingredients and wine.

The place has a great position near the sea. The restaurant is very good and we love the extension on the beach where you can sit down and have a drink right by the sea. Beautiful spot!

Restaurant with cool sea view. Not the cheapest restaurant, but the quality of the food is very good, and justifies the higher price. Service is also very friendly.
