Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Iadera

After traveling from Serbia to as far west as I could along the European panicle to Zadar, Croatia. I had a well rested stop at the Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Ladera on September 22 - 24, 2019. I enjoyed a relaxing few day's in a spa like environment. I had a beautiful jacuzzi room that over looked the Adriatic Sea. I spent my mornings siting on the balcony, eating room service, and reading a classic novel one of my favourites The Art of War by Sun Tzu. It was a short business trip but beyond worth it. I would truly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to relax for the duration of their trip.

The Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Iadera is a truly exceptional destination. From the stunning coastal views to the luxurious amenities, this hotel offers an unforgettable experience. The spa facilities are top-notch, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The rooms are beautifully designed and comfortable. It's a perfect retreat for relaxation and indulgence. Anyone that has a complaint about this place without some seriously justifiable evidence is a whinger.

This place is heaven on earth!! Immaculate presentation with staff that speak at least 3 different languages. The rooms are clean, spacious and well presented. Wifi works anywhere realistic, obviously expect a lower signal further away from the buildings.

The Adriatic coastline is behind a fence at the back. Use your room number and # to access through the gate.

It's adults style at best with young couple bringing infants. It's beautiful.

We loved it. Super clean and upmarket, very tastefully decorated, three stunning pools, beautiful grounds. It was really nice to walk along the paved path to the fish restaurant.

The hotel was only 1/3 full when we stayed there so it felt really spacious and empty which was nice.

We arrived early and had to wait until 3pm for check-in, so with a bit of effort that probably could have been sped up a bit, but the free welcome drinks were a nice gesture - but be careful. Free drinks sound great but only a few specific drinks are covered.

We had a room without sea view and I am glad we did. The hotel is shaped like a waved H so a lot of the rooms with supposed sea views seem to just look into the opposite side of the building.

If the hotel was full and you had lots of people socialising on the balconies late at night, then the proximity of everybody's balconies might become a sound issue.

You don't have much privacy in the rooms, since the hotel is shaped like an H so you have the other side of the building looking right in. So you have to close the curtains or turn off the lights to change.

But all up an awesome place to stay. You really get spoiled by the facilities and staff.

Hotel room, breakfast, cigar club, outdoor terrace, spa and hammam, sauna, compleete service was beyond the words!

Lovely hotel in a fabulous location. The service was good, food was excellent and the facilities were amazing. We will definitely be back.

I had a most amazing weekend in this hotel.
It is beautiful, perfectly located.
You can see the most amazing sunset right up from the hotel lobby.
Rooms are lovely, spacey, very clean and well furnished.
Breakfast and dinner is quite an experience.
Dining area is adjoining hotel bar terrace so you can just relocate from one table to another within few steps and continue your morning coffe on the terrace.
Hotel is near the beach. It's surroundings are well kept, spacious, you can play football between the palms, the grass is thick and freshly cut.
You can take a long walk by the bech, there is a lit path.
Spa area is something else. You will be truly energized, soothed and happy all at the same time.

Great resort, clean and tidy. Highly recommended

This hotel is an amazing space to have a calm and realxing break.

Location of the hotel is prefect, rooms are really nice and big, spa area is great to treat yourself.

You can play tennis, padel and have some other fun as well.

This is probably the best hotel I have visited so far. It’s located on the country side of Zadar with a very serene and beautiful environment. The rooms are really lovely, spacious, super clean, and well lit. The view from the room grants you access to the sea and you get to sometimes explore ferries passing by. I really can’t find any complaint at all. The receptionist are super helpful and customer service is commendable. I didn’t get to try out the restaurant and the swimming pools but I heard great things about both.

Overall, I had an amazing experience at Falkensteiner Hotel and Spa. Highly recommend you try it out when next you’re in Zadar, Croatia.

The hotel is located just 30 min from Zadar Airport on very private and safe place. Customer service is exceptional, food excellent and the beach /pool area very clean and tidy. Lots of things to do and see, you definitely won't be disappointed. Make sure you have swimming shoes as the pebbles on the beach are a bit rough, the little shop at the hotel sells them for reasonable price. This is probably one of the best resorts in Croatia and we'll definitely be coming back. Enjoy your stay and the beautiful weather.

Wow! This hotel is amazing. It’s a beautiful hotel in a remote area with direct access to the beach. Spa facilities were great and the food was lovely in all the restaurants. The only negative thing I would say is that it should be easier for guests to see what the hotel offers with better/clearer information in rooms such as info/prices for sports facilities, restaurant menus, tours available etc. We visited in October and the hotel was quiet and it felt like we had the pools and spa to ourselves. Would highly recommend.

For a hotel this remote parking should be free! And finally the highlight for us was at breakfast this hotel offer FREE CHAMPAGNE as part of the buffet. 😁🥳🇭🇷

You don't have to like Croatian beaches. I do not like them either. But you'll fall in love with this hotel. I did as well. Exceptionally clean (rooms are cleaned multiple times a day), the friendliest, the most attentive and highly professional staff. Though it's a part of a big resort, it is so spacious that you can meet just a handful of people in a day, if you want. The Black Spa is to die for, with a wide choice of saunas, fantastically decorated hammam and an outdoor nude adults only area with an access to the beach. Food is delicious, no matter in which one of the multiple restaurants you eat. The hotel beach is probably the best all around Zadar (it's still a typical gravel/stone croatian beach, that so many of us hate, count with it). It's really hard to find any fault. If, then just one. This hotel would deserve to be on a beautiful sandy beach, which would mean, it would not be in Croatia. And that would be a shame. 5 out 5. Hat down, keep up the good work!

The hotel is brilliant! The spa is great even though the indoor pools are not that big but fortunately the weather was great so it didn't matter. We got a room upgrade. Even though we were the youngest and got some looks it was nice! Staff is amazing!

I can only comment mainly on the Spa facilities as we paid the equivalent of 60.00 euros per person for a day pass. This Falkensteiner is ginormous and they are still doing work to expand the resort. It's a 20 minute drive from Zadar which costs about 10-15 euros in a taxi. It's a very beautiful setting with 3 lovely outdoor pools, two normal swimming pools and a saltwater pool. There is also a seperate 'Senses Spa' which is an nude area only (the front desk will explain / show you around on arrival). When you arrive, you are handed a beach bag, some flip flops, a robe and a key for the lockers. I thought this was a nice touch. There is a good gym, lots of treatment rooms and also even what we assumed looked like a sunbed! From the Spa, you can walk a short distance to the seafront but there isn't much room for lounging down there. There is a poolside café open until 5pm with delicious sushi, smoothies, cocktails and iced coffee. The staff are very attentive and will bring your drinks to your sun lounger. There are also other restaurants which sounded amazing. We had a great day and were sad we didn't budget for a spa treatment or visit the fish restaurant.

This is a perfect resort to relax. The staff is very courteous and well trianed and genuinely nice to the guests. The surroundings are so beautiful. The hotel,SPA is very hygenic and beautiful rooms.Great view from the Rooms of the Sea. Balcony is spacious and the rooms are comfortable and modern. This is perfect for Family and Friends and young couples. Good to walk by the Sea shore and it feels so Safe . The food in the restaurants is really outstanding. I am surely going to vist there again

Nice place, good entertainment, meals are abundant and tasty, nice staff. Huge covered parking facility. Air condition is limitation, because hotel determines air floating so it could be very warm in the room. In general, very nice place to stay.
